For the April meeting the club plan to attend the Home Makers K-ass heatre Plattsmouth Last Times Mon. & Tues., March 26-27 parents, Mr. and 'Mrs. Mills, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Heine man have relatives visiting them from South Dakota. Wayne Wendt, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Wendt, arrived home last week after spending four years in the Navy. Mr. and Mrs. L. G. McDonald were Sunday dinner guests of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ches ter Elseman on Sunday. Mrs. Joe Conig of Palto Alto, Calif., passed away on March 10th. She is better known to this community as Rose Wirth, who formerly lived here. The Four Square club met at the home of Mrs. Leo Rikli on Thursday afternoon with a good attendance. Patty Toman gave a demon stration on belt making and showed those present how to cover a buckle. Janice McKinney gave a dem onstration on "Suitable material and finishes for school clothes." Miss Whelan departed by Hi bus Friday evening. "H. M. Smith" of Nehawka and grandson, James Sowles of Gary Ind. returned Friday from a va cation trip to Phoenix, Ariz. Mr. Smith reports . good weather around 82 degrees, and a good time was spent in the moun tains. They traveled five thou sand miles in all. The grandson will return to Gary this week. Jack Stewart of Indianola, i Iowa was a caller at the Journal office Saturday. Jack formerly worked for the Journal as a linotype operator. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hild, Rog er and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Wiles attended the baptismal service for the Hild and Wiles' grand niece, Sandy Richardson in Omaha, Sunday at the Dun dee Presbyterian church. Mr. and Mrs. William Schroe der and son Eddie departed Fri day morning for Ohio where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Ken Rozell. Mrs. Schroeder is a sis ter of Mr. Rozell.
