Val John son la",t week cf the birth of a new tjn named David Clynton. Mr. Johnson is a former pastor oi the -Murray Christian church ond now lives at Pawnee City. This is the fifth son fcr Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Fitch vis ited at the hcmeGf Mr. and Mrs. Fred Campbell last Thurs day afternoon. They were in Murray on business. Little Janet Gansemer, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ganse mer, celebrated her birthday last Wednesday. Those who came to help her celebrate were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gregg, Tommy and Linda and Mr. and Mrs. John J. Stones, Deanna and Linda. - Eill Geybolt has returned home again after a short visit in Texas. He reports that he saw people playing golf in shorts down there. Mr. and Mrs. Reuel Sack en tertained last Sunday night "for supper. Those- present were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Campbell 'and Mrs. Margaret Brendel. Murray ' ; , Fire Cocs Out Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hoschar feel pretty fortunate to have. a home standing. They drove to Howell to spend the weekend with Mrs. Hoschar's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howe. When they returned Sun day evening they found that their hot water heater had blown a hole out the side, some curtains a few clothes and a sled was burned in the basement, but the fire had gone out for the lack of air. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lancaster and Mrs. Neva Read visited at the home of'Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bickett last Sunday afternoon. A birthday dinner had been pre pared for Mrs. Don Resso. Those present for the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Don Reeso and Mike, Mrs. Richard Wynn and Mar gene, Mrs. Ed Bickett and Sharel and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bickett. Mrs. Gertie Dill arrived home from California last Saturday. She reports she has had a won derful time while there. She vis ited with Harry Griffen and family. Dr. John Gilmore and family. Dr. John operated on one of Harry's twins while she was there and she reports the operation was a success. Murray $26 for Polio Fund The Sunny. Side Club and the Project Club did real well on their bake sale held last Satur day for the benefit of the Polio fund. They took in $26.00. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wolfarth are coming along fine with the remodeling of their home. They are now decorating the new addition. .. Friday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Campbell were Kenneth Campbell and son Da vid of Lincoln. Sunday visitors at the J. L. Carnicle home were Mr. and Mrs. Homer Carnicle of Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh O'Brien of Louisville spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Carnicle. Mary Lou and Jimmy returned with his grandparents to spend the weekend. The Carnicle fam ily were Sunday dinner guests of the O'Briens. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dill and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dill attended, the funeral of Sam Reichert.at Winside Saturday. Mr. Reichert was Mrs. Oscar Dili's -Vr6ther-in-law. - Saturday visitors at the'Wm. Rosencrans home were Mr. and Mrs. Buzz Gakemeir of David City. Mr. and Mrs. Rosencrans and boys spent Sunday evening with Mrs. Sadie Shrader and Gerald at Nehawka. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kuhn, Linda and Roger were Thursday evening visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kuhn at Louisville. Miss Verla Livers of Hastings spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. D. Livers. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Liv ers and daughter of Ashland were Sat. dinner guests at the V. D. Livers home. Miss Donna Parrish was a Wednesday overnight guest of Miss Joan Nelson in Ashland. Mr. and Mrs. Jason Strieght were Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Davis, Gary and Kent at Lincoln. The dinner was in honor of Kent's fifth birth day. Larry Carnicle was a Sunday dinner guest of Roger Kuhn. Friday evening visitors with Mr. and Mrs. James Wiszmann and family were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Haswell of Wabash. Mrs. Gordon Thiessen spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Thiessen Sp3 Gordon Thiessen returned home from Ft. Sill, Okla. Sunday until Tues day. Mrs. Dave Campbell spent Friday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lester Preston in Elmwood. Sat urday evening visitors at the Campbell home were Mrs. Le land Krezklow ol Lincoln and Mrs. A. W. Rau of near Mur dock. Mr. and Mrs. Leanord Par rish and family visited Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Jake Dougherty and girls. Sunday dinner guest at the F. J. Knecht home were Mrs. Sadie Shrader and Gerald of Nehawka. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Campbell were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Campbell at Elmwood.
