The Kel logg family attended a family dinner at the home of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rueter, at Alvo Monday. Bryant and daughters came from Coun cil Bluffs. Fcr dinner the next day the Bryant family and Vernon Bach man family, Mrs. Jones and Ida Henry were guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bachman. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Miller en tertained Mrs. Miller's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Erickson, of Waverly and Mr and Mrs. Gayle Fieischman, Marlene and Gary of Lincoln at Christmas Eve sup per. On Christmas Day the Mil ler family were dinner guests at the Fieischman home in Lin coln and on Monday they at tended a Miller family dinner at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Miller, at Alvo. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Parrott spent the day with Mrs. Par rott's mother, Mrs. Mary Schuelke, in Lincoln. Paul Buck ingham was also a guest. D. and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Erickson were Christmas Eve supper guests at the George Gade home. The group were din ner guests at the Erickson home the next day. They were joined by Miss Mary Jo Richart of Louisville at the Erickson home. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leesley and family had Christmas din ner with Mrs. Leesley's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Post, at Gretna., The Leesley family spent the evening with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Pershing and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Oren Kolb and daughters attended a family dinner for Mrs. Kolb's people at the Jerry Barger home. That evening they were hosts at a Koib family dinner at the Chris Kolb home in Ashland. Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Keetle and family and Mr. and Mrs. Don Seabeck and family were din ner guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Don Keetle. Mr. and Mrs. John Jones and sons were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bennett Bornman and daughters in Omaha. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rans lem, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Mumm and Mr. and Mrs Jerry Ormer. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Laughlin and James attended a family gathering at the Henry Leikam home In Lincoln Christmas Eve. The next day they were hosts at a family dinner. Those pres ent were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Leikam and Edith, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Leikam and Mr. and Mrs. George Harris and little daughters all of Lincoln and Paul Gerard of Weeping Water. The Sam Long family had dinner with Mrs. Long's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scholting, at Gretna. Others there were Mr. and Mrs. Roger Scholting of Louisville and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scholting Jr., Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zink of Sioux City, were holiday week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Keller. They accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Keller to the Medita tion service at the Christian church on Christmas Eve. Mr. and Mrs. Keller served Christ mas dinner to Mr. and Mrs. Zink and Mr. and Mrs. Watson Coleman and family of Lincoln; Mr. and Mrs. Oren Graber of Denver and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Laughlin and Wayne. Mr. and Mrs. Ian Crinklaw of Winter, Calif.;' Jac Crinklaw of Woodland, Calif., and Harvey Olson of Wahoo visited their uncle and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wagner Christmas Eve. Mr. and Mrs. Wagner joined their rela tives for a dinner at the Elmer Wagner home near Ithaca Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Soward also at tended the "Messiah" at the church in Plattsmouth where Mrs. Miller was the soloist Wed nesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Roger were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Roger and Lois north of Wann. There was a four generation group pres ent: Mrs. Mary Lou, great grandmother; Mrs. Carl Kupke grandmother; Mrs. Henry Probst, the mother, and Steven Probst the youngest of the Kraft of Manley were evening group. Mr. and Mrs. George guests at the Kupke home. South Ashl-ind Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Boiler of Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Boiler and sons were Christmas Eve guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Boiler in Green wood. For Christmas Day Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Boiler and sons joined a group of Mrs. Boi lers relatives for dinner at the Roland Tinnean home at Green wood. Others there were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Whitlatch, Becky Ann and Billy, and Mr. and Mrs. John Abbott and Doris of Lin coln; Mrs. Olive Whitlatch of Ashland and Robert Tinnean of Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Stander and family joined a group of relatives at Mrs. Stander's moth er's, Mrs. Mary Volkner, at Ne braska City for dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stock and sons were dinner guests at the Ed Hots home in Ashland and attended a Stock family dinner with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Stock in Murdock on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Sowards were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dod Miller and sons in Plattsmouth. They also accom panied the Miller family to church service at the Presbyter ian church in Plattsmouth. Mrs. Sowards sang in the choir there with her daughter, Mrs. Miller. Guests were their daughters and sisters families; Mr. and Mrs. George Planer and family and Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Tribble and family all of Lin coln. Dr. and Mrs. W. E. Ziegenbein and sons of Crete; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hester and Jeffy of Al liance are spending holiday va cations with their parents, Mr and Mrs. Harold Richard. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Fosnot, Jim and Jennifer of Lincoln joined the group Christmas morning for the opening of the gifts. That night they called another daughter and sister, Mrs. Jim Murphy and Mr. Murphy at Teaneck N. J., and all took turns talking to them. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Erickson and family attended an Erick son family dinner at the Ralph Parkening home in Plattsmouth Christmas Eve. The next day Mrs. Erickson's family gathered at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harm Slote, at Hick man for a dinner. It was the first Christmas the family had been together for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wil liamson, Garry and Connie of: Plattsmouth were dinner guests of Mr. Williamson's sister, Mrs. Oliver Felker; Mr. Felker and family. That evening they made a telehone call to Mayetta, Kan., and talked to their parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Williamson. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sindt, Rog er, Russell and Robert of Napo nee came Saturday to spend Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. John Hoffman and Lucille. The Iloffmans received telephone calls from their children who could not be present. Those call ing were Carl and Hugo of Los Angeles Calif.; Bion of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Harris Bell of Austin, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Roeber were hosts at dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mansfield accompanied by Mrs. Willa Wel don, and Mrs. Sadie Eber went to Lincoln and were dinner guests of Dr. and Mrs. Metheny. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Willams were guests at an oyster supper at the Fred Stickney home Christmas Eve. Guests for dinner at the Carl Weston home were Mr. and Mrs. Weston, Cindy and Carla. Mrs. Charles Heier and Mrs. Keith Weston and daughters are spending a few days there. The Westons have not heard from their son and husband, Keith after he had been sent to serve in the far Pacific. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weston and Roger of Des Moines were overnight Christmas guests at the Weston home. Mrs. Emma Olson and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Stenberg entertain ed 31 relatives at dinner at their home Christmas Eve. Mr. and Mrs. Orie Sowards, Marvin and Joanne were Christ mas Eve guests at a family din ner at the August Klemme home at Weeping Water. Earl Nichols is having a five day leave for the holiday from the Veterans hospital in Lin coln. He is staying with his son, Robert, in Lincoln. His daugh ter, Mrs. Kenneth Miller, and Mr. Miller of Omaha, brought him to the home of his brother and sister, John and Sarah Nic hols for a short visit the day be fore Christmas. John and Sarah Nichols spent Christmas with another sister, Mrs. Cecil Stand er, and Mr. Stander. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jipp and daughters of Gretna were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Parks and Gene. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Peterson were Mel vin Peterson and his daughter, Mrs. Rudolph Barta, Mr. Bar ta and family of Scottsbluff; Mrs. Barta will be remembered as Mary Louise Peterson, for merly of South Ashland. Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Greenslit were also guests. Mr and Mrs. Peterson wrere Christmas Eve guests of Mr and Mrs. Ralph Raikes and family. The Petersons accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Raikes to the Medi tation service at the Christian church that night. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wagner spent Christmas Eve with Mrs. Wagner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bohm near Memphis. A son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Er nest Bohm and Allen, were also guests there. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Roeber were hosts at dinner following church service at the Trinity Lutheran church. Their guests were Mrs. Roeber's parents, Mr. and Mrs. . J. Roeber, and an aunt, Mrs. Rose Bean, of Omaha. The group had a pleas ant surprise when two other aunts came for the holiday with them. They were Mr. and' Mrs. C. G. Boswell of Edgar and Mrs. Larry Oliver of St. Paul, Minn. Mrs. Oliver, Mrs. Boswell and Mrs. Riester are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wiles and Terry, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Gau dreault, Mrs. Rose Wagner and Mrs. Holly Grimm were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Grimm and family in Lincoln. The group attended church ser vices that morning at the Pres byterian church where the Grimm family attend. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Bailey and Martha Dean were lunch guests of Mr. Bailey's mother, Mrs. W. P. Bailey, Christmas night. Mrs. Lyle Bailey and Martha Dean also visited at the Ralph Dean home that evening. Others there were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Corneli us,, Sharol and Jeanette. Mr. ana Mrs. Robert Woitzel and sons attended a Christmas Eve service at Trinity Lutheran church and later entertained a group for lunch. They were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rau, Fred and Susan, of Estes Park, Colo.; Wil lard Woitzel of Amarillo, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Olesen and Dick of Lincoln and Mrs. Gustave Woitzel. The group were also dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Woitzel in Ashland next day. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Haase and Donald left Friday for Denver, Colo., where they will spend the holidays with their daughter and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Dologe. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Webb, Den nis and Patty, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hall, Tyron Seeger Hall, Vern Hall and Mr. and Mrs. George Schneider and Darlene were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hall. Roy Webb also spent Friday at the Hall home. . There were good programs this past week at District 53 where Mrs. D. Billings teaches and at District 82 where Mrs. Frank Hradsky is the teacher. Marvin Miller and Jane Stick ney, pupils at District 82, were ill and unable to take part, so parts of the program had to be omitted. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Slote, Judy and Janie of Burbank, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Harm Slote of Hickman were visiting at the Elton Erickson home one day last week. Floyd Slote is Mrs. Erickson's brother. Mr. and Mrs. James Stander and Miss Georgene Davis were Wednesday evening visitors at the Melvin Wiles home. Mrs. Harold Kellogg, Ruth and Jimmy spent Wednesday eve ning with Miss Alice Kellogg at Alvo. They also called at the Marion Kellogg home. A telephone has been install ed at the A. F. Haase home.
