L moa . Cu-iodisf1 Program T.ie. choir ' of the Methodist church presented a, program at the church last Friday evening consisting of the singing of Christmas carols of different countries. A group of five of the choir sang several numbers. They were dressed in eld fash ioned costumes and sang under an unusual " "lamp pest." Carol Atteberry and Carol Ann Pike sang solo parts. The choir were Ruth Stine, Shirley Turner, Carol Ann Pike, Virginia Bal four, Karen Wilschusen, Carol Atteberry, Jones, Janice Mead, Myrna Wolfe; Judy Surface, Betty True, and Robert Atte berry. Union- Women's Society of Christian Service held a Christmas lunch eon at the church , last Thurs day afternoon. The tables were decorated with Christmas' can dles, snowmen and pine boughs. Twenty-five 'ladies 'and the Rev. Erwin A. Kiel lined up for the dinner. After dinner, a program was as follows: little Cathy Stine sang a solo; Iola and Irene Rich and Bobby Harrah played "Star of Hope." . Mrs. Todd conducted devotions us ing "The First Christmas" story and "My Favorite Christmas Story." A number of Christmas carols were sung with Mrs. Snodgrass as accompanist. A short period was spent with sev eral ladies telling some of their favorite Christmas experiences. The program committee were Phyllis Ackley, Elinor Maugey, Myrtle Christensen and Gussie Clarence. The hostesses were Mrs- John Hausen, Mrs. John Ervin, and Mrs. Martha Exline. A nice Christmas donation of food was given the pastor,4 the Rev. Kiel and family. Mr. and Mrs- Oscar Smith.and family of Colorado arrived dur ing the week end and are spending a few. days with relatives. Christmas Eve visitors at the Melvin Reed home were Mr: and Mrs. John Ritter, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Tennant and Ted Reed of Douglas. " - Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson entertained Christmas with a dinner for their family, Mr. and Mrs. John .VanVleit and sons of Lincoln; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Johnson and Vicki of Weeping Water and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rhodes and family of Kearney. - Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sprieck entertained relatives Christmas Eve. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Otter Sprieck, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sprieck' and Ellen of Murray; Mr. ' and Mrs. Ernest Elliot, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Elliot and family, Mrs.. Roberts and family, all of Plattsmouth; Mr. and Mrs. Clar ence Sutton, Bill and Bob; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Heil and family; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Heil and family; Mr. and Mrs. Roland Heil of.
