Joseph hospital, Omaha. Mr. Falter un derwent a spinal surgery opera tion on Monday morning. His condition is good. He will be confined .to the hospital for several weeks to receive physi cal therapy, Mr. Falter is a former busi nessman of Plattsmouth, and is married to the former Catherine Dovey, and will be remembered here, by many friends. Mrs. Falter talked with Mrs. Alice Perry, from the hospital, and said t Mr. -Falter would en joy hearing from his many friends of Plattsmouth. O. E. S. Officers At Buffet Supper Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wehrbein, Worthy Matron "and Worthy Pa tron of Home Chapter 189, O. E. 8. entertained the officers of the chapter and their husband's at their lovely country home fol lowing the annual program at the Masonic Home, Sunday, Nov. 27, All officers were present, and enjoyed the evening of visiting, climaxed by a delicious buffet lunch served by their hosts. Mrs.' Langenbach, who is the National vice-president of the Western Division was recently in Indianapolis attending a president and secretaries meet ing, stopping here for the Thanksgiving holidays with rel atives, and will continue on her tour of duties; the next meeting to be at Salt Lake City, Utah. Other states in Mrs. Langen- bach's division are Hawaii, Cali fornia, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona. Mrs. Ray Story, Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs. Langenbach will at tend a luncheon of Beauceant at the Masonic Temple in Omaha, on Friday, before Mrs. Langen bach's departure. Fhona 24 1 Initiation At Eagles Auxiliary The Eagles "Auxiliary met on Thursday evening at the Eagles Hall with Honey Lou Cole, presi dent, presiding over the business session. Maxine Reckard was initiated according to ritual. Mrs. Marge Willis reported on the chili supper which was held as a benefit for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Other reports were given by the secretary, treasurer and auditor. The entertainment committee reported the annual Christmas party will be held on December 15. A gift exchange will be held with gifts not to exceed $1.25. Famliy Attends Ann i versa ry at ' -South Dakota Mr. and 'Mrs. Otto Weber- and four of their children, Linn, Mary Catherine, Bernadette Rose and Teresa Anne returned home Tuesday evening from North and South Dakota. The Weber family left ' Sat urday to attend the golden an niversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herman Sr., par ents of Mrs. Weber at Bowdel, So. Dak., that was held Sunday, November 27. Mr. and Mrs. Herman who have lived in Bowdell, for the past 35 years renewed vows at highmass in the presence of 200 guests at the St. Augustine church at Bowdell. Eight of their ten children were present, two children were absent because of illness. Friends and relatives gather ed in the church parlors for open house honoring the couple, and were served the six tier wed ding cake that had been baked by Mrs. Herman Herman; indi vidual ice cream, nuts and cof fee. Members Treat Masonic Home Residents Home Chapter No. 189, East ern Star, members held an an nual "Cookie Treat" and pro gram for the inhabitants of the Masonic Home in the chapel, Sunday evening, Nov. 27. The program was as follows: A vocal duet by Steve and Ted dy Wehrbein, accompanist Mrs. Edward Wehrbein; tap dance by Nancy Siemoneit, accompanied by Margaret Eiting; a vocal so- o by Lowell Rieke, accompanied by Phyllis Rieke; a group of piano numbers was offered by Marcia McQuin. Dale Wohlfarth, Murray, gave a vocal solo accompanied by Phyllis Rieke; a piano solo by Lois Livingston; two accordian numbers played by Karen Til- son; a vocal solo, by Mmetta Frazer, accompanied by Mar garet Eiting; an accordian num ber by Phyllis Rieke, a vocal solo by Gloria O'Hara of Auburn, ac companied by Mrs. Howard Da vis; a piano duet by Sharon and Rita Ramge. A vocal number by Mary Helen Livingston, accompanied at the piano by her mother, Mrs. Towner Livingston; a vocal duet by Linda and Roger 'Howard of Murray, accompanied by Mrs. Edward Wehrbein; a reading was given by Mrs. Joan Smith; a vocal solo by Billy Wehrbein, accompanied at the piano by his mother, Mrs. Edward Wehrbein. A piano . solo by Teddy Mann completed the program. Plates of home-made cookies in holiday wrappings were pre sented to each resident of the home. Hatfield and Josh. Sgt. Jimmy Hutton, home ad dress Auburn, presently station ed in Calif, is on 30-day fur lough, and was a visitor of his uncle, Verne Hutton on Friday. Sgt. Hutton who is in the Marine Corps will have to leave Chris tmas day for his base. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Brown of Omaha were Saturday callers at the home of Mrs. Brown's grandmother, Mrs. J. M. Thursday visitors here from their home at Weston. . Charles Koke, who is a pa tient at the .Clarkson hospital has been moved to room 432. Mrs. Koke and C. C. Koke were visiting him Sunday, and report that he shows some improvement. Lt. Jim Doody departed Sat urday morning at 6 a.m., by plane from Offutt Air Base for San Francisco where he will await his orders for duties in Japan. Mrs. Doody will reside at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rebal until she Is able to join her husband. Elmer Gochenour, "who has been a patient at the St. Mary's hospital, Nebraska City, re turned home Monday afternoon by Sattler ambulance. , " - Mrs. D. E. McKenney of Au burn is a house guest at the M. D. McKenney residence, assist ing in the home while Mrs. Mc Kenney is in the hospital. Methodist Society Meets at Church The Methodist Womens So ciety of Christian Service held a meeting in the church me morial room on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 2 o'clock. The' devotions were given by Mrs. Lowell McQuinn and the lessc-h by Mrs. Robert Mann. The business meeting followed with Mrs. Robert Brittian pre siding. A special offering was taken for an Indian. Sunday School at Macy. A luncheon in keeping with the Christmas season was serv ed by the Naomi Circle.
