Miss Young expects to enter the Uni versity of Nebraska College of Agriculture and major in home economics. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Creamer rind grandson, Steven, and Fred Creamer of Waverly. Elmwood Relatives here received the word of the death of Lee Hill, a former Elmwood resident. The Thomas orchestra originated at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., when Thomas was in service and was the officer club or chestra there for two years. A native Nebraskan, Don Thomas and his orchestra has been featured at Lincoln's Turnpike Ball room, Val-Air at Des Moines; Syracuse Hotel, Syracuse, N. Y., Chicago Aragon Ballroom; Chase Hotel, St. Louis; Eltich. Gardens, Denver, and other places all over the nation. A Mary Jicka ceived numerous cards of good wishes, as well as some gifts which added much to their pleasure. All enjoyed un eve ning of dancing. She had lacerations on her face and was treated by the doctor. Elmwood Mrs. Helen Schneider and her sister, Mrs. Russell Reeder, of Cambridge had a picnic lunch Sunday at Bethany Park wTith Mrs. Reeder's two daughters, Janet and Janice. Janet is-at-tending Wesleyan College while Janice is attending University of ! Nebraska College of Agricul ture. The afternoon was spent together, then the girls went to their colleges; and Mrs. Reeder returned with Mrs. Schneider. She came a week ago to assist in placing the girls in college, and for a visit with her moth er, Mrs. Mary Williams and sis ter, Helen Schneider. Monday she went to her home at Cam bridge.
