Muenchau Gathering Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Murl Muenchau and son of Lin coln; Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Muen chau and family of Chadron; Mr. and Mrs. Morris Muenchau rr.d 2 daughters of Eagle; and Master Sergeant and Mrs. Eu pciie Muenchau and family were a- the parents home for a fam ily get-together. A daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Luedtke, v ho live in California, and a son, Gayle and wife, who are now stationed at Washington, D. C, were unable to be present. Eagle Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Baker and family of Rock Island, 111., vis ited last week end at the home ci Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ransford. On Sunday the latter's mother, Mrs. E. E. Moore andi son, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Moore and fam ily of Weeping Water; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Richards and daugh ter, Myrna, were also present to spend the day at the Rans fcrd home. Mr. and Mrs. Harve Eshelman of Franklin visited her cousin, Mrs. A. H. Siekman last week end and attended the State Fair on Monday before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Muen chau, daughter, Terry, and son, ci Sioux City, Iowa, visited a few days this week at the home of parents. Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Muenchau, arriving in La?ie Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Earle Messelhis rr? of Lincoln called at the John Fischer home Sunday. Mrs. Lena Fischer and Mary of Elmwood visited at the John Fischer home Sunday afternoon rnr! evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dclbert Kahle 1 I When You Think of i Think of 1 X-RAY FITTING and Mr. Kahle's mother, Mrs. Edith Kahle of Kearney, visited at the home of former Kearney residents and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fleisehman, near Eagle last Sunday. Mrs. Edith Kahle remained for a longer visit. Eagle Mr. and Mrs. Orville Conner and daughter of Lincoln were visiting at the Harold Wall and Ray Wall homes Sunday. Mr. Conner had recently returned from a military reserve training meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Sorensen and son, Lynn of Ruskin ar rived at the home of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Scat tergood last Saturday evening to visit a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Muenchau and family of Chadron visited last weekend at the home of Lowell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Muenchau, leaving for their home Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Adkins of Lincoln visited last week end at the home of Rev. and IJLrs. Walter Jackson. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Beach are vacationing in Minnesota and visiting Mr. Beach's uncle in Canada. They plan to be gone z weeks. Eagle Purdum Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd White and daughter of Purdum visited at the home of Mrs. White's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wall last Saturday and Sunday, leaving for their home on Sunday eve ning. Mr. White attended a meeting at Crete, Nebr., Satur day before arriving at Eagle. On Sunday Mrs. Harold Wall and daughters, Sharon and Glenda, called at the Ray Wall home. Eagle Mr. Arthur Trunkenbolz of California is visiting his moth er, Mrs. Freda Trunkenbolz. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Westlake attended the Sarah Spahn fun eral services at Weeping Water last Sunday. " Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Owens and daughter, Suzann of Pensa- cola, Fla., . were dinner . guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton West lake and family on Friday eve ning. The Owens family are visiting Mrs. Owens' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald George, near Prairie Home. Mrs. George is a sister ' of Mrs. Westlake. On Monday the Westlake family visited at the George home help ing Mrs. George celebrate her birthday. - Mrs. Dan Lozier and daughter, Marcia, of California, left for their home last Sunday morning and stopped at Denver, Colo., for a visit with Mrs.-.Lozier's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Earle Fischer and. family, for a.. few j days. Marcia . visited several weess mis summer at tne grand parents home, Mr. and Mrs: IV D. Fischer. Mrs. Kate Penterman of Cor with, Iowa, 'visited her brother, Mr. and Airs. Geo. Following the meal, moving pic ture films were shown including the trips that both families had enjoyed on different occasions to Sun Valley and Florida by the Fischers and to Georgia and Florida by the Scattergoods. Eagle Colorado Journey Mr. and Mrs. William Ketelhut went to Colorado last week and visited at Mr. Ketelhut's sis ter's home, Mrs. Myrtle Ashlock at Wray, Colo., and a niece and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Archer at Kersey, Colo. At Longmoat, Colo., they visited with Farley Homans, enjoyed the Estes Park resort, and visited the Carl Ewerth family at Denver. The travelers report the weather was very dry - everywhere, how ever crops were all right where the land was under irrigation. WEEPNG Ruth Circle August meeting of the Ruth Circle was held in the basement of the Methodist church. There were 2 guests present, Mrs. Bill Mutter, a former member, now living in Sidney, and Mrs. Paul Pasten, a new resident of this community. Mrs. Fred Gardner led the group in song, prayer and the scripture. Mrs. Richard Lauritzen gave a short review of the book, "How Our Bible Grew." - The hostesses, Mrs. Sigvald Jensen and Mrs. Willis Lorensen, served. v, ' Weeping Water Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ed Van Horn acccmoanied by Mr. and Mrs. John Van Horn attended the True and Van Horn family reunion at Pawnee park in Co lumbus. There were 98 persons attending the reunion. Several members of the Band Mothers club met Monday eve ning to make preparations for their home talent show to be Sept. 20. Those present were Mrs. A. C. Peterson, Mrs. H. C. Elliott, Mrs. Arnold Dettmer, Mrs. Louie Noble, Mrs. Bob Jameson and Mrs. Willis Lorensen. Weeping Water Wrist Injured Joe Zalaudik, Jr., injured his right hand and wrist Saturday evening while working on his car. . The rest of the evening was spent watching heme movies of the Fecks and colored slides of the Jensens. -The Chaulks left for home early Monday morning and the eighteen years ago, liked it and decided to come back to live after he started a family.
