" Mr. and Mrs. Ward Erunson, Carol and Dean; their uncle, Dean Bachman, returned Sunday evening from a vacation trip to Kenora, Canada. They report that they enjoyed the scenery and that fishing was very good. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Murray had a& a house guest this past week, their daughter, Mrs. Vir tus Haws and son, Paul, of Clay Center, Kans. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brunkow and daughter of Murdock were Friday evening visitors at the home 7of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stohlman. . Mrs. Orville Robbins and fam ily returned Thursday evening after visiting relatives and friends in Duluth, Two Harbors and Minneapolis, Minnesota: Gordon Gadway, North Platte, spent the week end with his aunt, Mrs. Bessie Core. Gordon is at present employed in Oma ha. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Foster and baby son of Plattsmouth were Sunday, dinner guests at the home . of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Isaacs and family. Mrs. William Halstead of Om aha was a Wednesday overnight guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Hirsch. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Payton and family of Plattsmouth spent Saturday evening at the home of his sister, Mrs. Irus Gerdes and family. Mr. and Mrs. James Hettrick and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hett rick of Box Elder, Mont., and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Parsell of Elm wood were Wednesday evening dinner guests of Mr.' and Mrs. Ervin Albert and family. The Willing Workers 4-H club, accompanied by their leaders, Mrs. Allen Koop and Mrs. Ervin Albert, spent Monday touring in Omaha. They planned to visit Boys Town. Louisville t 154 Enrollment At Bible School The Louisville Daily Vacation Bible School presented its final program Friday evening to a j large audience of parents and friends. Each of the five depart ments contributed by singing the new songs they had learned, quoting scriptures and choral reading. A nice display of handi craft was shown by each group. Total enrollment this year was 154 with an average attendance cf 133. There were 78 pupils who were presented with a scroll for having a perfect attendance. Mrs. Harry Ahl, attendance, sec retary, presented these. This was a successful under taking and the teachers and helpers and the many other peo ple who contributed in any way are to be commended. Louisville Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hennings had as their Saturday evening guests, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bond of Plattsmouth. Mrs. Anton Johnson, Nancy, Linda and Dick spent Sunday in Ashland at the home of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Wollen. In the afternoon they attended the wedding of Miss Glendora Mae Campbell and Donald Bundy. Mr. and Mrs. Glen HeadJey had as a house guest this week end his nephew, Verne Smith, who attends the University of Ne braska. On Sunday afternoon they visited Glen's brother, Wayne Headley, in an Omaha hospital. Omaha Airport Union Station Mrs. Neva Read Correspondent Wunderfichs Tell Of Indiana Storm Mr. and-Mrs. Lester Under lich feel fortunate to ' be able to return home to tell about their trip to Indiana. They were in a tornado' that unroot ed practically every tree in it's path. It was a . little high and they were in 'a strongly built house at the time it ' hit. It made a two-mile path and they were just inside that line. They enjoyed their visit in spite of the reception they encountered. Murray Mr. . and Mrs. Dan Hoschar sold two of their lots to Mr. Claude O'Connor, who plans-"to build a five room house on it in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. John Farris are being visited by their daughter Jean from Ohio. She came to Omaha last Sunday evening where she was met by her par ents. Mr. and Mrs. R. A Noell and boys drove to Weeping Water last Sunday to visit with R. A.'s grandmother, Mrs. Ida Young, and Mr. and Mrs. Neal Munkres, who are aunt and uncle to Mr. Noell. Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Farris of Colme, S. D., have been vis iting at the home of Mrs. Ruth Buffington and Harold. Mrs. Farris is a daughter of Mrs. Buf- fington. Murray Bible ScSiool The United Vacation Bible School program was well attend ed last Sunday night in spite of the rain earlier in the evening It was held at the United Pres byterian church. Murray David Read was a Sunday din ner guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Hoschar last Sunday to help their son Melvin celebrate his 16th birthday. Dan Hoschar's arm seems to be coming along fine since it was broken last week. Little Debie Cooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Cooper spent last Monday and Tuesday visiting her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sack. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton drove to Omaha Monday for Mr. Cooper to check with his doctor concerning his condition. Murra Homeless Squirrels Find Cookies Good Little did a mother squirrel know the fate of her babies, when she made a nest in a crib of corn just a short while before shelling time. When Roger and Gene Noell learned that the two baby squir rels were homeless, they were ready to adopt them at once. They were fed with an eye droo per until a trip was made to Murray Ladies Aid Meets The Ladies Aid Society met last Wednesday afternoon at the Christian Church with Mrs. Har old Rice as leader. She gave a very interesting lesson on Dale Even's new book, "Angel Un awares." The hostesses served a lovely lunch of strawberry short cake and whipped cream. Mr. David Bradley returned home last Saturday night after working in California for some time. town where two doll bottles were purchased. Now that they are able to scamper around it is a cute picture to see them sit up and hold onto the bottle with both front paws while eating. They have learned like little children that cookies are very good. , - Murray Last Thursday, June 2, was the fifth birthday of David Morris. He .went to Omaha to celebrate the occasion by being on Jolly Joe's T. V. program. A great many of his Murray friends saw him. The Lewiston Social Circle Club met last , Sunday with a basket dinner for the families. They had planned it for the Murray Park, but because of the weathex it was held at the com munity center. - Murray New Pastor Comes Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Lar son, new Christian pastor, is moving into the parsonage this week and will be prepared to bring the message to the church people next Sunday. Everyone is invited to come to hear him. .; The Bible School picnic was well attended at the Murray park last Friday. Everyone brought well filled baskets and therei was lots of food and fun. Robert Curttright, Sr., went to Omaha Wednesday for a check up with a specilist. He has been ailing for some weeks now. Mrs. Ruth Buffington enter tained on Sunday with the fol lowing present; Mr. and Mrs. George Buffington, Jackie and Janay; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Tilson, Donnie, Jimmy and Jer ry; Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Far ris, Eugene, Dorithy and twins Sharon and Karen; Mrs. Ruth Buffington and Harold. Murray Birthday Dinner Last Sunday was little Barbara Sack's, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Sack, Birthday. The oc casion was celebrated with a dinner given in her honor by her parents. Those present were her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sack and Steven Hosenyegar. Little Steven Hosenyegar has been spending a few days at the Duane. Sack home, because his mother had her tonsils . out. Steven livss in Omaha. His fath er called for him Sunday. Mrs. Bert Worthan is suffer ing from a sprained knee, which makes it a little difficult to keep up her many tasks in the home. Murray Farris Buys Farm Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Farris of Colme, South Dakota have purchased the farm that is now farmed by Everett Morehead and was owned by Pollock. They will move on to the farm themselves.
