Phone 69-24481 Greenwood Cemetery Officers Elected The Greenwood cemetery As sociation held their meeting at the home of Mrs. Wiles Coleman for the election of the officers, which is always the, first Friday of May. Those elected were: Pre sident, Mrs. Rose McDonald; vice president. Mrs. Betty Sac ca, secretary, Mrs. La Verne Arm strong, Mrs. Frank Welton and Mrs. Mabel Lambut. The meet ing was closed and a business meeting opened to make plans for the decoration day dinner, May 30, at the Legion hall. Mr. and Mrs. Turley Wall vis ited his brother, Ray Wall, and family at Eagle Sunday after noon. Manse . Elrod of Ashland was a Sunday dinner guests at the Hardy Gustdavison home. The school picnic will be helcl Friday and all are to bring a pic-e- lunch. 'Mr. and Mrs. Edd Bauers of Cfoalco were guests Friday at the home of Curtis Gustafson and family. The St. Joseph Alter Society met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Dale Stander with Fr. Stirn and 12 members pres ent. After the business meet ing, plans were made for new windows for the church. A de licious lunch was served by Mrs. Stander. Seven girls of the 4-H club met at the home of Mrs. Hansen Thursday afternoon. Gloria Hansen and Carol Sue Leada brand gave a demonstration of refrigerator cookies. A skating party was planned for the 24th of May. , Mr. and Mrs. James Wall and daughter Connie Ann of Lin coln visited Mr. and Mrs. Turley Wall Mother's Day. Mrs. Rose McDonald attended a meeting Friday afternoon at Lincoln. Miss Hazel Tubbs of Lincoln was a dinner guest Thursday at the home of E. L. McDonald. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bulling, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Osburh and daughter of Lincoln were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Osburn Sunday. ,Mr. and Mrs. Elden Bates and Barbara of Nehawka were guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Comstock. Barbara will spend a week with her grandmother and grandfather. Mrs. Clara Flumer was hos tess to the ladies at a pinochle party at her home Thursday at tarnoon. The ladies of the Greenwood Cemetery Association are mak ing plans and solicting for the Memorial day dinner. Varro Tyler of Nebraska City, a trustee of the Society, in an nouncing Miss Olewine's ap pointment said: "It has been j the desire of the Society for some time to provide more in tensive casework with adolescent boys and girls, work more close ly with unwed mothers in meet ing their problems and to pro vide consultation , services to county officials and others.
