Market Reporter Positions Open The United States Civil Serv ice Commission has announced an examination for Asricultural Market Reporter for filling posi tions connected with various ag ricultural products. The posi tions pay $4,205 to $5,940 a year and are located princioally in the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D. C, and through out the United States. To qualify, applicants must have had appropriate experience or education. No written test is required. Further information and application forms may be obtanied from Henry A. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gansemer received word from France of a new grandson born to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Schwartz, April 29th. Mrs. Schwartz was formerly Patricia Gansemer. This is the second son born to the Schwartz His name is Leslie Merritt. He was born in Germany since that was the nearest hospital. FINDS FREAK MONEY NEW YORK. Although Mrs. Hannah H. O'Conner has receiv ed offers up to $100, she has turned them all down for a freak bill she found recently in her pay envelope. The bill is mark ed $10 on one side and $1 on the other. Frances Bavier, an unmarried television actress, known to thousands of GI's during World .War n as "Mom," received a unique Moth er's Day gift 10,000 signatures of former GI'S from Maine to California. Miss Bavier traveled from Normandy to Saipan with an entertaining troupe, but, when not acting, she endeared herself to many by listening sympathetically to problems of homesick sailors, soldiers and Marines. The huge scroll was circulated by Chicago Tribune writer Kermit Holt, an ex-Marine combat correspondent, through veteran organizations in various cities, and sent it on to Miss Bavier.
