Gifts were placed in a baby basket decorated in pink and blue. The honoree received many nice gifts. The hostesses were Mrs. Wayne Wright, Mrs. Leslie Root and Mrs. Aaron Wright. Greenwood Mrs. M. L. Shupe has been ill at her home this past week Mrs. Mabel Lambert visited Thursday and Friday in Lincoln with her sister, Mrs. H. B. Nel son. A group from Greenwood vis ited at the Electa Chapter in Lincoln Saturday evening. They included: Mrs. Ben Howard, Mrs. Frank Welton, Mrs. Earl Stradley, Mrs. Mabel Lambert, Mrs. Joe Marshall, Mrs. Glen Willis, Elmer Mathis and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Bratt. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Schuelke and daughters, and Mr. and J Mrs. Robert Graham were Fri day evening guests at the Wal- I ter Woitzel home, helping Mrs. Woitzel celebrate her birthday, j Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Greer : were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wal- I ter Woitzel at a meeting oi tne Farmer's Club in Lincoln at the Y.W.C.A. Thursday evening. - Greenwood Church Leaders Attend School A number of Methodist Sunday school tecahers and workers at- tended an all day meeting at J Westminster church in Lincoln Monday for training in Bible school work. Those attending were: Mrs. Vernon Greer, Mrs. Glen Marolf, Mrs. James Arm- I strong and Mrs. A. J. Leada- brand. School is tentatively j planned for the first week in j June, and further meetings to plan will be held at tne local church. Grrenwood Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Boiler and family were In Battle Creek, Io- wa. last Sunday visiting Mr. and ; Mrs. Elmer Rickman. Mrs. Ger- trude Boiler of Ashland accom panied them, and remained to j visit, returning home Friday. Mrs. Warren Boucher visited Mrs. H. W. Van Landingham in Lincoln Saturday. Mrs. Van Landingham is residing on Fre raoht street. Mrs. John Downing visited Mrs. Charlie Martin Wednesday. . Mr. and Mrs. Charley Bell vis- ! ited Mrs. Ed Bell Friday evening at the Convalescent Manor in Lincoln. Mrs. Ed Bell is about the same. Jolly Jokers Club met with Mrs. Emil Meisinger Friday af ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Leesley and children and A. L. Todd were dinner guests at the Emil Meis inger home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Meisinger and Wm. Meisinger of Platts mouth called on the Emil Meis ingers Friday morning. Triple M. Club turned out 55 strong at the Methodist church Sunday evening. Hosts and host esses were: Mr. and Mrs. Don Sacca, Mr. and Mrs. James Arm strong and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bell. Plans for a skating par ty Firday evening were discus sed. The lessons discussed by the leader, Mrs. Ruth Leada brand, were on "Cotton Fabrics Suitable for School Dresses" and "Making Tea Towels". Twelve girls were present. Four of the girls taking sewing will appear in Gold's Style Show March 26. Mrs. Harry Maughan served cup cakes decorated with four-leaf clovers and 4-H in Green honor ing both the club and St. Pat rick" s day. and jello, and Gloria served sandwiches.
