Her broken shoulder has been set. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Bennett of Havelock were callers on Mrs. Ella Rosenow. her aunt. Thurs day afternoon. Mrs. Ed Hall, a cousin, called on her Wednes day. Mrs. Rosenow is at the home of Mrs. Monning at this time. Mrs. Glen Thomas is at her office work again after being at home with the flu last week. The George Blessing family and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nor ris of Avoca were guests of Mrs. Grace Blessing and Richard on Sunday at their home near Mur dock. The Norris couple attend ed church in Elmwood. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lannin are the parents of a son born Sunday, March 6, at St. Eliza beth hospital in Lincoln. The mother was Beverly Stolz. Red Cross Plea Help others in time of trouble by joining the Red Cross, asks Emily Gonzales, chairman of the Elmwood Red Cross fund campaign. Join now and serve. Eimwood Over 100 persons attended the : evening dinner at the Method ist church on Saturday. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orest Cook for the supper were Mr. and Mrs John Turner and Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hiatt, ah of Lincoln. Others from the capital city were Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Kuehn, the latter couple being aunt and uncle of Mrs. Harold Strabel. Attending the county fellow ship meeting at the Avoca Con gregational church on Sunday night were Rev. and Mrs. Horn; Mr. and Mrs. Herman EngeJ king; Mr. and Mrs. Watson Jones: Mr. and Mrs. Wra. Hoff man and Roberta. The sermon was largely for the young peo ple and a large number of them was in attendance. They en joyed a social hour after the service. Soloist was Ramona Jones Jenson. The banner went to Alvo Methodist again. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tooker and family of Silver Creek vis ited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Cook, on Sunday. On the day before the Cooks were in Greenwood when the family was dividing the things of her par ents. Mr. and Mrs. Mathis. Mr. Mathis was a coin collector and there were so many there was not time to evaluate th? worth, so the division was made by weight to the several surviving children. Ona Lee Kunz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Kunz, missed some school last week because of the flu. Her little brother, Merlin, had it too. Elimvoofl Senior Fellowship Next Sunday, March 13, the senior fellowship groups of the Methodist church will join with the entire church group in a basket dinner at noon, and there will be no evening meeting of senior fellowship. Mr. Charles Marshall was to have had charge of this meet ing, and since he is in the hos pital, it was decided to not have the evening meeting. But the third Sunday of April we will have Chancellor A. Le land Forrest as a guest speaker, and senior fellowship is invit ing the Elmwood high school senior class ana tneir parents as special guests to hear Chan cellor Forrest. Elm'-vood Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lashley and children have moved to their new home in south part of town. Harlan Kunz injured a finger quite badly last week when it caught in a corn sheller.
