B. Doan. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Warren and children of Marcellus, New York came last week and visit- ' ed over Xmas with Mrs. War ren's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lesan. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Dorcey and three sons left Tuesday for their home in Santa Monica, California after spending the Xmas holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baines and family and with relatives in Iowa. Mrs. Dorsey is a sister of Mr. Baines. Mr. and Mrs.' D. C. Huffman ..went to Lincoln Friday where they were the guests of their son Don and family over Xmas. Friday evening they were din- ' ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ochsner and on Saturday all were Christmas evening dinner quests of Mr. and Mrs. Coe Dalrymple. Louisvilia 90th Birthday Mrs. Helen Cleghorn will cel ebrate her 90th birthday at her home at 402 Walnut St. on Wed nesday, Jan. 5. Mrs. Cleghorn while crippled is still able to take care of herself and lives alone in her home here where she has spent most of her adult life. A charter member of the Louisville Woman's Club, Mrs. Cleghorn has not missed a meeting of the club for the past three years and is a regular at tendant at church and the . W.S.C.S. . Louisville Mr. and Mrs. Tony Ingalise and little son of Omaha were! Christmas weekend guests of Mrs. Ingalise's parents Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Meyers. I Mr. and Mrs. Nick Hennings entertained their family at a -post Xmas dinner on Sunday since all could not be present on Xmas day. All of their sons and daughters, their grand children and their two great grajidsons were present to spend the day. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Addyman - lef Thursday for Colorado to make their home. Mr.and Mrs. H. .-lpKoop went to Denver, Colo, on Thursday to spend Christmas at the home of their daughter, Mrs. M. F. Baker and her husband and family. They returned early this weeK. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jar . dine, Jean Rae and Kay Francis Brown and Billy Jardine, Don aid Headley and Ronnie Reveil ac visited in Hamburg, Iowa ov- ,.,er the Xmas weekend. . Mr. and Mrs.1 Paul Ingram and family drove to Denver, Colo., Friday to spend Xmas at the home of a sister of Mrs. Ingram. Her mother was also there for the holidays. Paul called the home folks Monday to learn how the roads were here as he was expecting to start home and he said in Colo, the ground was- covered with snow. Frank Ross received word last week from his daughter Isabelle that her husband and Col. Joe Williams is now base comman der at Albany, Ga. Col. Williams has been stationed at that point for a couple of years since re turning from 'service in Japan. Mr, and Mrs. C. F. Crawford were Sunday dinner guests at . the home of their daughter, Mrs. Leon Schoir and family in Plattsmouth. Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Hickman arrived Friday and spent the Xmas weeKend with the home ' f oiks. They returned . to their home in Denver Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Jule Bourelle and family spent Xmas with their daughter and sister and fami ily in Weeping Water. Mr. and Mrs. Chris McGrew and family spent part of their Xmas with Scott McGrewis and the rest at the Fred Goebels on the farm. Mr.and Mrs. Joe Woolhiser entertained Mr. and Mrs. Victor Woolhiser and family, Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Woolhiser and family, Virgil Woolhiser and Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Squies of Omaha on Xmas day. I-ouisviI!e Skating Pond The Louisville Fire Dept. is preparing a skating pond on the former ball diamond, owned by Ash Grove. The skating pond idea has been discussed here often as the lakes are to deep for safe skating. A shallow pond was made with a road main tainer and then flooded. Flood ing was done Tuesday. The pond will be about a foot deep so that it will be safe for all ages. Louisville A family Xmas dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Knutson. Those at-! tending were A. A. Schoeman, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Knutson and family of Cedar Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Krambeck and family of Papillion, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Knutson and family of Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tyo, Mr. and Mrs. John Dale Tyo of Kansas City, Mis souri, Wm. Krambeck and Ri chard of Papillion and Dell Reynolds. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Johnson Jr. are the parents of a daugh ter, Sherry Lyn, born Dec. 26 at St. Mary's hsopital in Nebr. City. They have one other child a boy, Keith, 2 years old. The baby is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Johnson of Louisville. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tinte of Spirit Lake, Iowa, visited last Sunday and Monday at the Fred Hopp home. Sunday eve ning the visitors at the Hopp home also were Mr.and Mrs. Herbert Hopp and Henry and Miss Mary Hopp. Mr .and Mrs. Wendell Hart of Weeping Water were hosts Christmas Eve to Mrs. Kather ine Welte of Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph welte and fam ily for the Welte family dinner and get together. Eugene Ingram returned to his home in Lincoln Wednesday of last week from a few days flight to Las Vegas and Los An geles, California. He and sever al other officials of the Uni versity of Nebraska made the flight in the interest of the air cadets in the ROTC at the state university. J Louisville Dersiisi Dies Dr.' William R. Clark, 79, re tired Lincoln dentist, died Sun day. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Wadlouis Chapel in Lincoln and the body was brought . to Louisville for burial in Riverview cemetery at 2:30 in the afternoon. Dr. Clark was the husband of Arma Nichols, sister of Frank H. Nichols. She passed away in 1947. He is survived by 11 neices and nephews among whom are Mrs. Geo. Dolan, Mrs. Andrew Lundteigen and Ross Nichols of Louisville and Robert Nichols of Scottsbluff. Louisville Mr. and Mrs. Nick Hennings and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hubbel and family were Xmas dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hennings and fam ily. Mrs. Elizabeth Long enter tained relatives at the home of her father Charles Engelkemier at dinner on Xmas day. Those present were. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Howe of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Schcmaker and Mrs. Ster ling Amick and Delno Amick, all of Weeping Water. Delno has just returned to this country after two years army service, most of the time being station ed at Trieste, Mr. and Mrs. Er nest Engelkemier joined the group in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. John Gakemei er and Miss Daisie Schlater were Christmas dinner guests at the heme of Mr. . and Mrs. Cecil Hobbs and family in Oma ha. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Holder and family of St. Joseph, Missouri and Mrs. Holders brothers Si and Jack Ashford were Friday visitors of Mrs. E, G. Kreider and David and Mr. and Mrs. Norman McKerlie. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hoover and family drove over from Sac City, Iowa, Saturday night and visited Mrs. Hoover's father, Frank Ross for a few hours. During the evening, Mr. Ross's other daughter, Mrs. Joe Wil liams called from Georgia to ex tend seasons greetings. Mr. Wil liams says his post there has 5,000 "fighting" men there and it is not a Sunday school pic nic. Relatives of Mrs. Allen Koop were Xmas guests at the Koop home Xmas day. Those present included Mrs. Koop's . mother, Mrs. Edna Hentzen and her brothers Herbert and Walter Hentzen with their wives and families all from Seward. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Sterling and family and Bob Ossenkop ' visited at the Le Roy Vissen home at Weeping water Sun day evening. Louisville , Out Of Hospital Mrs. C. F. Crawford has re ceived word that her father, Van Marple of Hermanson, Ore gon has been released from the hospital where he was confin ed for a few weeks with a brok en back.
