There was also a. decorated tree, and the room made attractive for the evening. A lunch was served and all enjoyed the social hour fol-lo-wing the program. Mr, and Mrs. Virgil Simpson were hosts to a group of sixty oT'the Rowell relatives, at the American Legion hall in Ashland Sunday, observing the Christmas holiday. Alc Bob Tadlock of Nellis Air Base of Las Vegas, Nev. was a visitor at the Bornman home this past week. The Victor Miller, Elton Erick son, and Everett Erickson fam ilies went to the home of Mrs. C. A. Mathis in Greenwood Sun day where they attended a large family gathering, celebrating Christmas. Mrs. Mathis, who is 96, had thirty-five great grand children present, also eight great, great grandchildren. This event is eagerly looked for;ard to each year by Mrs. Mathis. Christmas Eve guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Weston and Eu gene were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weston and Roger of Des Moines, la., Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Heier and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Weston and Cindy. The Robert Weston family remained overnight and were joined by Mr. and Mrs. El lis Bockelman and Sherry and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Beetison for a Sunday dinner with the Carl Weston family. South Ashland - Family Reunion Mrs. Emma Olson, who is near ly 89, had the pleasure of having her entire , family with her at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Stenberg and -Mr. Sten berg for Christmas Eve dinner. One grandson, Kenneth Sten berg, who is now in Germany was unable to be present but ex pects to be home in the near future. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Weborg and John and Mr. and Mrs. Joe We borg of. Pender; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olson of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Stenberg, Janet and Mary Jo of Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Hunt, Geo. and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Olson, Mr. and Mrs Cortis Lemon, John and Larry, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Buckmaster and Mr. and Mrs. Nels Stenberg. The Nelsons and Orville Sandy spent the evening at the Harold Richards nome. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Buell and Raymond entertained a Christ mas dinner Frida for their par ent, Mr. and Mrs.' Chas. buell and brother Mr. and Mrs. Ben Buell and family. That evening the Harold Buell family wore supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Snod grass near Louisvnie. Other guests there were Mr. and Mrs. Gene Dunn and Peggy Der by of Louisville, Lloyd An&en and Chalk Carter of Nehawka and Ralph Cline of Palmyra. On Christmas day, Mr. and Mrs. Buell and Raymond attended a family dinner at the home of Mrs. Buell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Allen at Waverly. Others there were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jenkins and Teresa of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mick and Danny of Lin coln. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kellogg and family joined the Kellogg families for Christmas dinner with their mother, Mrs. Lucy Kellogg in Ashland. That even ing they went to Alvo for a Christmas supper and party with Mrs. Kellogg's relatives at the Fred Rueter home. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Moore and sons were al so part of that group. Mr. and' Mrs. J. O. Erickson of Waverly and Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Fleischmann and family of Lin coln were Christmas Eve guests of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Miller and family. On Christmas day, the Miller family and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Nelson and sons of Omaha were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ar chie Miller at Alvo. South Ashland Motion Pictures Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wiles and Terry spent Friday with Mr. Wiles' father, Troy Wiles in Ash land. In the evening they went to the Eli Gaudreault home where they joined a family group for a Christmas Eve par ty. Others in the group were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Micky Grimm and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Grimm, Melody and Marlece. Motion pictures were taken of the children as they unwrapped their gifts un der the tree. A Christmas dinner was also enjoyed by the same group at the Gaudreault home. Clements, with Marilyn Men denhall at the organ. Santa Claus was played by Earl Cook and he with the help of teach ers and children distributed the gifts and treats. Joyce Croston was the first speaker.
