Mcdonald, Clerk No. 2703 Dec. 20, 1954 Attending the Ice Revue las Saturday night were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Christensen of Hol stein, Nebraska, their daughter, Lois, the James Mills family, Frank Mills, and the Joe Dick meyers. The Christensen's spent Saturday night and part of Sunday at the Mills home. The R. N. A. Lodge met Tues day at the home of Mrs. Doro thy Mills for a cne o'clock lun cheon after which they held their regular monthly business - meeting and Christmas party. Mrs. Dorothy Mills was elected the Oracle for the next year. The Friendly Neighbors Club ladies, less four of their mem bers enjoyed a most delightful Christmas dinner and - party at the Leo Rikli home on Wednes day, December 15th. Each lady came with a steaming dish of food or a glorious dessert and a beautiful Christmas gift for a secret friend. The three guests who joined us in our msrriment were Mrs. Walsh of Omaha and Mrs. Jchanson. After dinner Sel Ma Gakemeier and Dorothy Mills furnished a very delightful, en tertaining program. : Those cookies were delicious followed b;7 that good coffee. '! Emiwood jumped- to a 15-7 S lead at the end of the first quar-j ter and moved on easily to win. Their halftime lead was 31-23 ! and the visitors held a 45-33 t margin at the end of 3 quarters. In a reserve game preliminary, Ceresco marked up a win over j the Elmwood team by a score of 36 to 19, holding 8-4, 21-12 and 29-17 period leads. Swartz led Ceresco. The Four Square Extension Club met Thursday, December the 15th at. the F. A. Brunkow home. The home gave a very cheery atmosphere, with the lighted Christmas-tree and the ornamental hangings. This oc casion being the Xmas party of the club. The opening began with group singing of the xihas Carols. Mrs. August Wendt . and Mrs. C. Eisman presented seme very interesting numbers via entertainment. During the read ing of 'Twas the Night Before Xmas," rnahy pretty packages containing decorative and use ful articles were exchanged. The social hours were concluded by the serving of a most de licious lunch by Mrs. Brunkow' and Mrs. Wm. Rikii. On depart ing each member extended her well wishes to the others. The next regular meeting will be January 20th, 1955 at the home of Mrs. O. B. Lupardus. Mr. and Mrs. William Blum, who purchased the Herman Gakemeier property in Mur dock got moved in this week and ara in the process of gett ing settled. On Monday evening a Christ mas program will be presented by the whole school. Everyone is invited to attend this free pro gram. ' i Mr. and Mrs. -Earl Knop and family also are in the process of getting settled into the farm home vacated by Mr. and Mrs. William Blum.
