Meeting Mrs. Clayton Rcsencrans was hostess at a dessert luncheon to Chapter F, PEO, at her home on 326 north eighth street. She was assisted by Mrs. Zil pha Seward and Mrs. T. I. Friest. Business session was presided over by Mrs. Clem Woster, pres ident. Mrs. Goeda Wiles dis played books given the public library, in memory of Mrs. Etta Gorrier, who passed away re cently. Christmas projects were planned by the group. Mrs. Ro sencrans and Mrs. Seward pre sented the -Hobby Program," consisting of their own collec tion of 950 cr.t figurines. They have received them from all states and foreign countries. Mrs. Myrtle Kendall Hostess To The North Liberty Club The North Liberty club met Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 17 at the home of Mrs. Myrtle Ken dall with Mrs. Agnes Smith; as co-hostess. There were 13 mem bers present and 2 visitors, Mrs. Merle Rogers and Mrs. Murphy. , Mrs. Rogers became a new member of the club. Mrs. Lewis Burbee and Mrs. Kendall completed the lesson on weight control. Plans were made for the, annual Christmas party and supper to be the eve ning of Dec. 10 for the club members and their families at the Legion hall in Union. The hostesses served a delicious lunch at the close oi the meeting. Dr. Frank Gorman of ? Omaha University ' was the speaker. Mr. Gorman is an able speaker and the audience en joyed his talk very much. The meeting opened with the ad- I vancing of colors by the Boy Scouts. Rev. L. N. Blough gave the invocation, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Looisville Neva Ruhge Weds Marion Sutton Miss Neva Ruhge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A: Ruhge and Marion Sutton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Sutton were married at Plattsmouth, Nov. 15. Judge Joseph Case officiated. Witnesses were Mr. j and Mrs. Clarence Sutton and Mr. and Mrs. John A. Ruhge. After a wedding trip, the newly weds will, live in Louisville, where he is employed at the cement plant. Mrs. Sutton graduated from the Avoca High school and worked in Lincoln at the El gin Watch Co. - Lcuisville Miss Rose ann Mass spent the weekend with her brother, Don ald Mass and wife in Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Isaac were Omaha visitors Wednesday. Mrs. J. B. Larson who has been in the.M. E. Hospital for surgery was able to return, home Tuesday and is feeling quite well. Mrs. Claude Heim underwent surgery at the Methodist hos pital in Omaha Tuesday of last week. She is recovering nicely following the ordeal. Henry Jochim of Bolckow, Missouri and his son - in law, Everett Brows of Mound City, Missouri spent Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Vogler.
