" "Mrs. Ivon Armstrong "". "' . ..".. ."...' The Fairland Midget 4-H club meeting Nov. 29 at 7:30 p. m. will be held with Joanne and Ruth Kellogg. The Junor Fairjand extension club met November 16 with Mrs. Clinton Jones. The second part of the lesson on 'weight control was given by Mrs. Leonard Roeb er, and Mrs. Orie Sowards. A Christmas party was planned for the December meeting. There were 10 members present, also two visiters who were Mrs. Raloh Zeorian and Mrs. Sam Long. The latter joined the club that day. Mrs. Robert Kramer and little daughter Dianna and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Buell were Friday guests at the Bruce Sowards home. Mrs. Kramer and daugh ter have just recently arrived Phone 1502 from Germany and expect to make there home in the United States. She is the wife of Mrs. Sowards' nephew, who is sta tioned at Camp Carson, Colo. Guests at the Oliver Felker home Thursday were Mrs. Fel ker's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stanley of Del hart, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Drake and Mrs. Lydia Wilcox of Waverly. Mrs. Felker's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth William son, Cnnie and Gary of Platts mouth were Sunday dinner guests at the Felker home. Mrs. Martin Stenberg attended the funeral of Tom Olson at Wa verly Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. John Abbott and Doris of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Tinnean and sons of Greenwrood and Mrs. Olive Whit latch of Ashland were Sunday dinner and supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Boiler and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mansfield went to Omaha Saturday even ing where they met Mrs. Sadie Eber of Oakland, California, who has come to visit her sister, Mrs. Willa Weldon. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Warren .and family of Eikhorn visited Mr. and Mrs. Mansfield Sunday afternoon, i Mr. and Mrs. Willis Lambert Were hosts to twenty one guests at a turkey dinner Sunday, hon oring Mr. H. J. Williss of Prairie Home for his birthday. Sally Long was five years old November 18. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Long entertained Sally's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scholting of Gretna at supper that evening. Mr. and Mrs. George Planer and family of Lincoln were Sun day dinner guests of Mrs. Plan er's mother, Mrs. Henry Tirnm. A pre-Thanksgiving dinner was held at the heme of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hauschild Sunday. Their guests were the Hauschild families and included Mr. and Mrs. John Hauschild of Malmo, Mrs. Clara Hauschild, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Haiischild and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kolb, Mrs. Ed Campbell and famUy, and Ray Hauschild all of Ashland. Lillian Carlton was an additional supper guest. Jim Wotipka of Santa Ana, Cali., and Adolf Wotipka of Ceresco spent Wednesday with their brother, Cyril and Mrs. Wotipka and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan E. Arm strong made a business trip to Plattsmouth Monday. While there they called on their cousin; Mrs. Robert Mann. Mrs. C. W. Bryant and daugh ters of Omaha were Friday over night guests at the A..D. Bach man home. They went to Alvo Saturday to visit Mrs. Don Skin- j ner. sunaay Mr. ana Mrs. ury ant and daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bachman and Billy had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bachman. Chris Kolb and Elsie Otto were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oren Kolb and daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry larger ana family were afternoon guests and Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Kolb and family visited there in the afternooiv Mr. and Mrs. Willard Rueter and family and Floyd Rueter of Alvo spent Friday evening at the Dewey Moore home. Mr. and Mrs. Moore and sons visited at the Fred Rueter home in Alvo Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan E. Arm strong went to Haven, Kansas Wednesday where they visited their daughter, Mrs. Harold E. Shaw and little sons, Ivan and Lloyal and, enjoyed a pre Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong called on Ralph Dyer at Hebron, Nebr. Mr, Dyer is a former pastor at the Ashland Christian church. He conducted them through the new Christian church in Hebron that is being built to replace the one destroyed by the tornado that passed through that town two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong returned home Satur day.
