Convention Held At Eagle The ' Cass 'County Legion Auxiliary met recently at the Methodist church in Eagle. Mrs. Mary Gableman, Union, presiding; Mrs. Violet Attebery, Union, secretary; Mrs. Jessie Upton, Union, was pianist for the meeting. Group- sang to the Auxiliary. Colors were advanced by Mrs. Ruby Brenton and Mrs. Mary Phillies of the Elmwood unit. I Pledee of Allegiance by Mrs. Sterling Arnick of Weeping Watsr unit The star Spangled Banner was led by Mrs. Em- ma Nutzman of Nehawka unit. Prayer given by Mrs. Violet At tebery of Union unit Preambel given in unison. Mrs. Minnie Bird of Eagle unit gave the wel come and Mrs. Irene Ross of Nehawka unit gave the re sponse. Mrs. Bird presented Mrs. Fischer, who presented several musical numbers. Unit activity reports were given by Eagle, Elmwood, Ne-! hawka, Union and Weeping j Water units; Greenwood, Lou- ; isville and Plattsniouth being ; absent. Special Services At Christian Church Special services will be con ducted at the First Christian church in Plattsmouth begin ning Tuesday evening and con cluding on Sunday morning,' Nov. 21. This series of evangelistic meetings will be conducted by Rev. and Mrs. Martin Luther Peterson, former missionarie.s to Barbados. British West Indies. In addition - to the ministry from the Scriptures by Rev. Peterson, both he and Mrs. Peterson will present special vocal numbers. Mrs. Peterson also plays the piano and the accordian. Regular pianist for this series of meetings will be Mrs. Jess Hodae with pastor George Smith conducting a congrega tional song service each even ing. P, E. O. Meets At Davis Home Chapter F, P. E. O., met at the home of Mrs. Searl Davis Friday afternoon. Mrs. Eliza beth Linder and Mrs. Mattie Wiles were assisting hostesses. It being the anniversary of Ed ucational Day, the progfam was reports on the Educational Loan Fund, Cottey College and the Nebraska P. E. O. Home. Mrs. Vivian Wehrbein gave the report on the loan fund. Chapter F has sponsored eight girls through the loan fund and have money available to sponsor more girls. Mrs. Ardyth Schreiner, Mrs. Elizabeth Morrison and Mrs. Vivian Wehrbein gave a short skit on Educational Loan Fund, showing how it is obtained and etc. Mrs. Goldie Wiles gave a brief review on the new classification of books at the library.
