Sand Pkene 2604 Mr. and Mrs. Howard Redden have named their daughter Pa mela Elaine. She was born at St. Mary's hospital at Nebraska City Sept. 24. Mr. and Mrs. Rose Red den of Nehawka are grandpar ents. Mrs. Bertie Hicks of Ne hawka is a great grandmother to the baby. Mr. and Mrs. Julian Pollard called at the home of Mrs. Anna Norris of Avoca Friday after noon. Mrs. Norris, 93 years old, fell recently and broke her hip. She is now able to be around the house in a wheel chair and is doing very well. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Bailer and sons were supper Rruests Fri day of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Cole of Plattsmouth. Mrs. Bertie Hicks, who fell re cently and broke her arm at the ; home of her daughter, Mrs. Emery Ayers of Fontenelle, Nebr., is now with Mr. and Mrs. Rose Redden. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eichorn, Les Dievendorf and Patsy Ayers, all of Council Bluffs were guests Saturday at the Redden home. Mr. and Mrs. George Sheldon and Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Pollard attended the rodeo in Omaha Sunday and later had dinner at Hilltop house. , Mrs. George T. Ayers, Phoenix, ' Ariz, came Thursday to be the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Tucker. Monday. Mrs. Tucker, Mrs. Ayers. Mrs. George Sheldon, E-velyn Wolph, Mrs. J. j J. Pollard and Mrs. R. C. Pollard were luncheon euests of Mrs. Emily Olive of Weeping Water. He is with his wife at the Harry Knabe heme. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Linder and daughter, Linsoln, were guests Sunday at the Frank Lin der home. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Beatty and daughter. Hancock, Icwa were guests Sunday at the Otto Schafer home. , Mrs. Robert Williams and Cas sandra, Holdrege, spent the past week with Mrs. Henry Swartz. Mr. Williams came for them Sunday. Nehawka Boy Scouts Camp On Brannon Farm Boy Scout troop 361 camped Saturday night and Sunday at the timber near the Ted Bran non farm, north of Nehawka. They prepared supper Saturday and breakfast and dinner Sun day. Rev. Fred Gardner had brpkfst with them and then conducted . a service for the oouuw. ine ooys plan a perma nent camp at this site and started work vn a log cabin. At target practice, Richard Dick man and Robert Cook tied for second. Harold Dodson spent the mgnt with them. Richard Stone, Scout leader was also with them part of the time. The Scouts will present the colors and lead the tlag salute ac me Cass county convention Wednesday morning at the Me thodist church at Nehawka. !MenawKa Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ross re ceived word of the birth of a son, Todd Barton, to Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Wehner (Ethel Mae Benson) of Houston, Texas. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Benson of Austin, Tex as. Mrs. Benson was formerly Elizabeth Rough of Nehawka. This is Mr. and Mrs. Wehner's fourth son. Mrs. Ruti Lundberg visited her daughter, Mrs. Walter Olson at Bryan Memorial hospital in Lincoin Sunday afternoon. M TTnuVol onH Mrs. Marie Brown cf Weeping Water stepped for Mrs. Ona Kunkel and together they en joyed the scenery of southeast Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hansen and children were dinner guests Sunday at the Martin Ross home. The Dane Coal company, in cluding Harold Dane and son, George, have converted their ' coal bins into grain bins. The large tanks will hold 8500 bu shels of grain. The entire capa city of the bins is 60,000 bushels. They have also added some new bins. Mrs. Dane is a sister of Mrs. Martin Ross. Mr. and Mrs. George Kimer received a telegram Thursday of the report of the death of Guy Kirkpatrick of Dallas, Texas on that day .Mr. Kirkpatrick is sur vived by )xis wife and two chil dren,' a daughter, Frances and a sen, Guy Jr. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Dallas. Mr. Kirkpatrick is a cousin of George and Gilbert Kime.
