Mrs. Ted Larson has returned to her home in Sheridan, Wyo ming, after a visit with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dorr and other relatives. She Mrs. Dorr and Mrs. Frank Buell, spent Wednesday in Omaha at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cbcar Allen. Elmwood South Dakotan Is Visitor Here Mrs. C. F. Stilgeoaur of Get tysburg, South Dakota, is spend ing a couple of weeks visiting her mother and sister, Benha and Ahlene Fitch. On Tuesdav and Wednesday she was in the home of former Berdena Rose now near Harvard. They wera classmates in school and they worked together in Kansas City in government bookkeeping em ployment some years ago. Mrs. Ellen Smith was born at Ottawa, Canada and she died at her home in Lincoln on Mon day, July 5, at the age of 89 years. She lived near Elmwood for 59 years, where she was a real pioneer mother. Her husband died 45 years aso and she had eleven children, the oldest one j Katie, was the wife of George Bickert at the time. " Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hild of Omaha, returned Saturday from a two weeks vacation in Colora do, Mr. Hild, who has been serv ing with the armed forces, re ceived his discharge on June 31, Carol and Roger Brown of En cinitas. Calif., arrived Tuesday to spend the summer with their , at Camp Carson, Colorado grandparents, Mr. ana jvirs. j. a Cook. Lincoln and Mrs. Anastacia Mc Crory of Long Pine. Nebr. There are so grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church in Elmwood with a large crowd present. Elmwood Mr. and Mrs. Hewitt of Diller, were Fourth of July guests of Mrs. Nettie Mendenhall. Their son, Tommy, returned home with them, after spending five weeks of his summer holidays here. Mrs. Abrams has moved into the Harry Linder house, former ly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. John Drake. The new resident and he.r son, Ronnie, have done much in terior painting and it is fitted up for a beauty parlor. Taking church organ lessons of Mrs. Dwight Clements are Marilyn Mendenhall and Mar delle and Raylene Miller. Mrs. Hazel Deering of Phoenix, Arizona, is having an extended visit with her sisters, Mrs. Keck ler of Weeping Water, and Mrs. Ralph Greene of Elmwood and their families. On Wednesday evening Mr. and Mrs. George Kraft of Man ley, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bednarz of Omaha, Mrs. Mary Lou and Ella of Murdock were supper guests at the Fred Weisheit home honoring Mary Weisheit and Fred Weisheit, Sr., on their birthdays. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Engelking and family and Miss Minnie En gelking, caled on Mrs. Fred Wei sheit Friday. Mrs. Weisheit was painfully injured last week when she fell and ran 3 splinters in her leg to the bone. She is un der the doctor's care and getting along o.k. at this writing.
