On Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Jones served a birthday supper for the Clinton Jones family in honor of Edgar's birth day. Mystery cake was the spe cial treat for the occasion. , South Ashland Clyde Jones returned home last week after a two weeks stay at Veterans hospital in Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Rueter and family of Alvo spent Wed nesday evening at the Dewey Moore home. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Zeorian and Stevie had supper Wednes day at the Clinton Jones home. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Craig of Polo, 111., were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bachman from Thursday until Saturday. Mrs. Bachman's mother, Mrs. Emma Jones, accompanied her nephew, Mr. Craig, home for a few weeks visit. Sun day he was taken to Bryan Me morial hospital where he is now undergoing tests to determine the cause of his illness. There was a fine at-! tendance. Mrs. Robert Harrah, Sr., conducted the meeting in the absence of the president, Mrs. Attebery. Mrs. Harrah used the poem "At Easter" taken from the "Ideals" magazine. She also read a very interesting article on "Easters of Yesterday." Mrs. Todd led the devotionals, her topic "All Love's Excelling."
