T. Heine man on Monday, March 15, for la 1:30 dessert luncheon and bus iness meeting. A good attend . ance was reported. The meeting opened with Mrs. ' Heineman leading in the Lord's Prayer. Mrs. Ed Berlett, presi ! dent, conducted the meeting at which roll call was answered by each naming a flowering tree. j Mrs. Mary Keeley had the pro ! gram on Spring Wood Warblers J and read several interesting articles. A door prize was awarded to Mrs. Virgil Perry. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Perry for a 1:30 dessert luncheon. Lentz, and a vocal solo, "The Lord's Prayer," by Mrs. Wayne Meisin ger concluded the program. The serving table was covered with a iace cloth centered with a beautiful three tier wedding cake frosted in white with yel low roses and gold leaves. A beautiful ornament in white vath geld leaves and a gold bell with gold inscription "50' topped the cake. A plumosa ring wit:i Goldilock roses and gold leaves surrounded the cake. A program was arranged b gold decorated tapers were on either side cf the cake. Silver seivice was used throughout the serving. Oak Leaf Club Lesson Tuesday On Dressmaking Oak Leaf Extension Club met March 16 at the home of Mrs. Earl Pay ton. The business por tion of the meeting was con ducted by Mrs. Gardner Hamil ton, president. The topic for the lesson was "That Professional Look in Sew ing." It was conducted by Helen Rocke, clothing specialist. Samp les of many new materials on the market w:ere displayed. An interesting and instructive demonstration on dressmaking was given by Mrs. LeRoy Covert and Mrs. Clarence Akeson. Appetizing refreshments were served by the hostess, Mrs. Pay ton. The next meeting will be held April 20 at the home of Mrs. Gardner Hamilton. Omaha family, a lap robe for a! wheel chair patient at the Grand Island home. Future Homemakers Will Present Styie Show Here Soon Plattsmouth Chanter of the Future Homemakers of Ameri ca will nresent a style show en titled "Dear Diary" at Central Auditorium in the near f ature. Ensembles to be worn in the show will be those which have been made by girls themselves, plus garments leaned for the show by Soennichsen's, The Style Shop and Ladies Toggery. Clothes wdll be modeled in the playlet style show by the FHA giris. . Date and time for the special FHA styie show will be announc ed soon. The public is invited, according to Miss Minerva Schiiefert, local FHA sponsor. Sewing Is Lesson For Fairview Woman's Club Fairview Woman's Club, with 19 members and one visiter, met at the home of Mrs. Richard Liv ingston cn Thursday, March 11, with Mrs. Louis Wagner and Mrs John Terryberry, cohostesses. The meeting w7a? called to or der by Mrs. Eno Ahrens, presi dent, and the group sang tha "Club" bn and "My Wild Irish Rose" followed by roll call which each answered with their fav orite Irish song. 'Mrs. Wagner gave a few facts on "safety" as her monthly duty and members learned that th3 recent bake sale was very suc cessful. Member voted $5 con tributions to the American Red Cross and Crippled Children' Home.
