That man wants to be ready for what is going to happen. Perhaps sometimes he has to guess but he tries to be one guess ahead of the rest of us. There is another kind of alertness that is far more important. It is typi fied by the man in our picture. He has "an ear to the sky." He is trying to be ready not for what is going to happen but for what is happening. He wants to have the spiritual strength to meet today's problems. He knows that tomor row's happiness will depend on the success with which he overcomes each obstacle today. The Church is one of his listening posts. Its message helps him under stand God, himself, and the World right now. ..V : ft.'-- S.-.J- .w . . ...... . .- - - CHURCH FOR Att r" ""r CHURCH character and good 2Jor strong ,wuw OI spinfual v,.- "r.Tlttn,P- urcn. neither dom witnouf Q unriv.
