NehawKa j Kropps Spend Holiday Wifh Kin Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kropp spent New Year's day with their niece, Mrs. Robert Boug and amily at Kansas City. Mr. Kropp returned home that night and Mrs. Kropo remained until Saturday evening. Mrs. Kronp spent the dav Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Hinds and daugh ter of Lincoln. Nehawka Ramona Bucholz returned to her school at Platte Valley Aca demy at Shelton, Nebr., Sunday evening after spending two weeks vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bucholz. Mrs. Herman Bucholz, Nebraska City, was a week end guest at the John Ruholz home. Mrs. Ruth Ketelhut and Thelma Weeping Water; Mrs. Joe Pleu ler and son, Joe. Mickey and Kipp Kuppinger returned home Sunday with their mother after spending the past week at the Tucker home. Mr. and Mrs. Don Dory and sons, Lincoln were overnight guests Saturday and Sunday at the Tucker home. Nehawka Mrs. Louie Allgayer and Linda were week end guests at the Louie Allgayer Sr., home near Weeping Water. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Schrader were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond May- field and all attended a show at Nebraska City in the afternoon. Nehawka Cherry Pic Contest Set Saturday The annual Ca!S county cher ry pie contest will be held Sat urday afternoon, January 9, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wil don Switzer. Suzy Switzer and a contestant from Weeping Wa ter will compete and the -.win ner will enter the state contest in Lincoln. There will be a Talent show and dance at the auditorium Saturday evening, January 9 at 8 o clock. It is sponsored by the Community club. Otto Schafer returned last week from Yakimaw, Wash., where he attended funeral serv ices for his brother, George Schafer. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sturm and Jimmy were guests Monday at the Harry Metcalf home in Lin coln. Friday evening all drove to Bryan Memorial hospital in Lincoln to visit Mrs. Gene Reece and son, Thomas Eugene, who was born December 29.
