She chose a full skirted frock of yellow net over yellow taffeta and carried a bou quet of bronze-toned mums. Misses Margie Sue Johnson and Roma Kay Johnson, sisters oi the bride, uxiu dressed in identi cal ballerina-length gowns of pale blue and soft pinic taffeta, were the candlelighters. Wayne Rolfson of Eagle was best man and seating the guests were Don Howard and Fred Hol bert of Lincoln. Following the ceremony a re ception was held in the church parlors for 125 guests . The next meet ing will be Novenber 30. Naomi Circle Meets Thursday At Senf Home to the Salon. Initiation was conducted by members of the or ganization. Mrs. Vera Warga, chapeau, conducted the marche, which was followed by a social hour. During the social period, cards were played with prizes being awarded to Mrs. Mata Amlck of Weeping Water, Mrs. Helen Vro man, Mrs. Emma Cappell, Mrs. Helen John of Weeping Water, Alpha Muncie. Refreshments of raspberry sherbet, cookies and coffee were served from a beautifully ar ranged and decorated table. The Salon's Christmas party will be held in cooperation with the American Legion and Auxili ary in December. I Sixteen Members At Lewiston Social Club Meeting Lewiston Social club met at the home of Mrs. Arthur Hansen on November 10 with Mrs. Mar garet Moore, co-hostess. Mrs. Ruth Pike, president, con ducted the meeting at which minutes of the last meeting and roll call was read by the secre tary, Mrs. Ray Creamer. Plans for a Christmas party at the December meeting were discussed and a 50 cent gift for a' grab bag. The club lesson on machine mending was presented by Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Creamer. Six teen members, 16 children and one guest attended the meeting. James Pollard Surprised Saturday At Birthday Fete James Pollard was surprised on his birthday Saturday evening at a pinochle party at which prizes were won by Miss Edna Jean Wetenkamp, Mrs. Neal Enell, Mrs. Tom Meisinger, Ern est Bond, Ralph Parkening and Ralph Younker. Elmwood Couple Will Celebrate 50th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rhoden ' of Elmwood will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with open house at the Methodist church in Elmwood on Sunday, December 6, from 2 to 5 p. m. Friends and relatives are in vited to call without further in vitation. ' Mr. and Mrs. Rhoden have three children, Mrs. Eugene Tarr of Washington, D. C, Richard Rhoden of Little York, 111., and Mrs. Harvey Taylor of Grand Junction, Colo. All are planning to be with their parents at the anniversary celebration. PRIZE WINNER Mrs. Gene Hula recently wras awarded an $80 merchandise prize for being first place win ner in a window naming contest conducted by an Omaha store. Leaving Saturday for the Na tional 4-H Club Congress at Chicago is Miss Joan Norris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clar ence Norris of Weeping Water, who wilt enter national compe tition at the Congress Style Re vue. A nine-year veteran of 4-H Club work, and for seven years a 4-H club leader, Miss Norris will spend a week in Chicago the guest of a pattern company which is sponsoring her trip. The pretty, 17-year-old Weep ing Water senior walked off with the top award in the 4-H stvle revue at the Nebraska State Fair in September and was one of 23 purple ribbon winners -tapped at the 4-H revue. She is pictured here in the forest green suit dress of heavy weight wool jersey with which she won the state crown. The dress has a cardigan collar and three-quarter length sleeves. Her crepe blouse is a soft mint green and the coat which she made, is of green, black and tan plaid wool with a stand-up col lar and five large buttons down the front. Her accessories are mushroom color excepting the turban hat which she made of matching green wool. At the National Style Revue, in which Miss Norris will repre sent Nebraska, girls from all different states, respective win ners of .state style revue con tests, will have a party and give a dress, revue in one of the Chicago theatres. . The blonde-haired Joan, who during her nine years in 4-H work has taken 32 different pro jects, is a senior at Weeping Water high school. Nebraska. Ervin is engineer at the radio station KGFW in Kearney, The Ervin Siemoneits announce the birth of a son on November 21. Mrs. Siemoneit was the former Betty Lou Mod lin of Omaha. Fred Alexander of Junc tion City, ' Kansas, director of! the servicemen's center known as "Welcome House," will be the guest speaker at evening servic es at the First Christian church Sunday evening. "Welcome House," is a haven for servicemen from Ft. Riley, Kansas and Camp Funston where soldiers come for recrea tion, food, Bible study and training. ' Rev. Appointed to the committee to meet with other organizations and outline a ticket campaign for a February musical presen tation were Jim Bridge water, Vern Liddick and Al Fairfield. Fairfield also reported that the group's membership drive is progressing very well. The drive is currently being conducted to increase the PT-A membership. Panel discussions were led by Mrs. Vic Schreiner, Major Ep person, William Floyd and James Craigmile, with reports to the general assembly follow ing. Craigmile, program chairman1, also presented a film, "He Acts His Age." Hospitality committee, which served refreshments, was Mrs. Charles Christensen, chairman; Mrs. Sam Arn, Mrs. Richard Spangler, Mrs. Will Nowinski, Mrs. Richard Biery, Mrs. T. I. Friest and Mrs. Dean Dunham. Dorcas Circle Meets Thursday At Babbitt Home Dorcas Circle of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the Methodist church met at the home of Mrs. D. N. Babbitt Thursday with Mrs. Harold Al lure and Mrs. Charles Janecek as assistant hostesses.
