Mrs. John ston is the efficient instructor. The high school will furnish music for the Thanksgiving ser vice at the E.U.B. church on Thursday. Eirnwood On Wednesday Cpcsra Riwii ! had the misfortune to injure the middle finger of his right hand while working on his tractor. It necessitated the care of a doc tor. Mrs. Nettie Mendenhall has re turned from Diller where she spent six days staying with her granddaughters, Marjorie and Judy, while their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hewitt, and Tommie visited their son Russell who is in service at Swarthmore, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Coon return ed from their farm west of Lin coln on November 12. The Youth Fellowship group of the EUB church have sent holi day boxes overseas to Jerry Bornemeier in England and to Renus Kunz in the Philippines. They will send to the boys in the States later oh. Elmwood Woman Injured On Hospital Visit Mrs. Leonard Klemme and Mrs. Ed Ernst went to see their husbands at Bryan Memorial hospital on Tuesday. The lat ter fell while in Frf's dislocated her shoulder. She stayed. at the hospital one night and then returned here where she is staying at the parsonage home with Rev. and Mrs. Horn for a while. Pvt. Kammerer Is Home From Korea; Honored At Dinner Pvt. Eldon L. Ksmmprpr re turned home from Korea Friday night after serving overseas for 18 months. Honoring his return, he was guest of honor at a dinner at the home of his parents Sunday. Also honored was a cousin, Jesse Scroggie, who also was recently discharged, and Charles Scrog gie, who will be inducted soon. Present were Mr. and Mrs. George Scroggie and sons, Rob ert, Charles and Jesse, of Block-ton,,- la.; , Mr, and Mrs. John Scroggie. Gloria and Denis, of Hopkins, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Du ane Webb, Allen and Marvin, of Shannon City, la.; Mr. and Mrs. William Parker, Donna Janet and Carol, of Creston, la.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Favors and Edward Lee, and Mr. and- Airs.
