CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SQCIETY Sixth Street and Second Avenue 'Probation After Death" Is the subject of the Lesson-Sermon which will be read in Christian Science churches throughout the world on Sun day. October 25, 1953. The Golden Text is: "The peo ple that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined." (Isaiah 9:2). Other Bible citations in clude, "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (John 8:12). The Lesson-Sermon also in- ! eludes the following passage from the Christian Science text book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, "Progress is born of experience. It is the ripening of mortal man, through which the mortal is dropped for the immortal. Either here or here after, suffering or Science must destroy all illusions regarding life and mind, and regenrate material sense and self. The old man with his deeds must be put off. Nothing sensual or sinful is immortal."
