Mr. Pace is the father of Mrs. Sheehan and Mrs. Jewell. A five generation picture was taken during the day which in cludes Mrs. Mary Baughman, Mrs. Frank Pace, Mrs. Joe Shee han, Mrs. Francis Ritter and Kenny. Those attending were Mrs. Mary Baughman and John of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kline of Plattsmouth, Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson, Billy and Kathy.of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Elwinn Isaac and Mike of Man ley, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Ritter and Kenny of Papillion, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jewell, Bobby and Donnie, of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Gerald Davis and Douglas of Hubbard, la., and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pace of Weeping Water. Werpin? Water Mrs. Stella Worman and Mrs. W. D. Lenker entertained at a coffee party on Thursday aft ernoon iiK honor of Mrs. Leon Swisher. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hoback and Miss Edith and Miss Daisy John son. Mr. Elmar Terry. Gerald and Jimmy called on Mrs. Terry in the University hospital in Oma ha Sunday. Mrs. Terry is un riprfrr.infr treatment and will have to remain in the hospital 1 lor some time. Mrs. E. J. Boedeker returned Monday after spending six weeks in Imperial at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Shopp. . Mrs. Leone Swisher, Edith and Daisy Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mussehl of Lincoln, Mrs. Grace Copple, Mr. and Mrs. James Elliott, and Mrs. Glen Heneger called on Mr. and Mrs. Ray Norris this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Van Horn and family visited Wed nesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Freeman and Derald of Avcca. Mrs. John Rieke escaped ser ious injury last week when her car almost ran over her. Mrs. Rieke was going to town so she opened the car door and reach ed in to turn on the switch to see if she had enough g?s. When she turned the switch on the car started and it was in reverse. She was knocked down by the car door. The car backed up until it was stopped by a tree. The car was only slightly dam aged but Mrs. Rieke hs many bruises all over her body. Mrs. Frank Minium suffered a third hesrt attack cn Sunday evening. Mrs. Minium had re turned to her home two weeks aeo after -qvine- witb Mr. f-H Mrs. Art Hoffman, where she had recovered from the first, two heart attacks. She is stay ing atrain at the Hoffman home nnd is feeling better at this writ ing. Men Help Out At Taylor Home Arthur Taylor, Jr., cut the soybean and alfalfa hay at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Taylor. Sr. Maurice Hammons baled it and on Tues day afternoon and Wednesday several men came in to haul it to the barn and store it. They were Harrison Livineston. Lee Roy Ahrens Robert Ahrens, Earl Murdoch Joe L. Zaloudek. Jr., Charles Knox, Arch Baker, Mar ion Snangler. William Newham and Sam Smith. Mrs. Taylor sved the men their dinner on Wednesday. Mr. Taylor had a heart attack and has to remain quiet for some time. vpnins Water Junior Women Have Picnic The Junior Woman's club met at the home of Mrs. Dallas Wendt on Tuesday evening, Sent. 15 for a picnic supper. Ten members and one guest, Mrs. Ralph Raines, were present. Miss Pearl Schultz was co-hostess. The hostesses served a very delicious and bountiful picnic supper that was enjoyed by all the ladies. A short business meeting was held. The members voted to contribute articles to the annual bazaar of the Children's Memo rial hospital in Omaha. The possibility of a swimming pool for Weening Water was dis cussed and the club would help to support the prolect.
