County Judge No. 2266 Sept. 14-21-28, 1953 ORDINANCE NO. 67 Record of the Meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Nehawka, Ne braska for the Purpose of Pass ing Ordinance No. 67 and Trans acting Other Business Inciden tal Thereto. Nehawka, Nebraska September 10, 1953 The special meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trus tees of the Village of Nehawka, Nebraska, was held at the meet ing place of said Board. at the date aforesaid. The Chairman directed the Clerk to call the roll, which was done and the following mem bers of the Board were shown to be present, to-wit: Present: G. A. Rutledge, G. A. Edmonds, R. Switzer, W. S. Pow er. Absent: A. A. McReynolds. The Chairman announced that a quorum was present and the Board was qualified to carry out any business that might come before it. Whereupon Trustee R. Switzer introduced an ordin ance entitled "An ordinance authorizing the purchase of an oil burning furnace . to replace the coal furnace in the village auditorium: declaring that an emergency exists; providing for the payment of said improve ment out of the general fund; giving chairman of Board of Trustees and Village Clerk au thority to act and to prescribe the time when the ordinance shall be in full force and effect Said ordinance was read by title on its first reading and on a motion duly made and carried was designated as Ordinance No. 67 of said Village, passed and its title approved. Whereupon Trus tee G. A. Edmonds moved that the statutory ruling requiring the reading of an ordinance on three different days be dispens ed with, which' motion was sec onded by Trustee R. Switzer and the roll was called on the adop tion of said motion and the Trustees present voted as fol lows: Yeas: Switzer, Edmonds and Power. Nays: None. Said motion having been con curred in by three-fourths of the Trustees present was by the Chairman of the Board declar ed passed and adopted. Second Reading: Thereupon Ordinance No. 67 was read by its title a second time, and upon question by the Chairman of the Board, "Shall Ordinance No. 67 be passed and adopted?" The yeas and nays were called and the Trustees present voted as follows: Yeas, Switzer, Edmonds and Power. Nays: None. Third Reading: Thereupon Ordinance No. 67 was read at large on third reading and put upon final passage. The Chair man of the Board stated that the question is, "Shall Ordinance No. 67 be passed and adopted?" Yeas, Switzer, Edmonds and Power. Nays: None. The passage and adoption of said ordinance having been con curred in by a majority of all members elected to the Board, said ordinance was by the Chair man of the Board declared pass ed and adopted and the Chair man in the presence of the Board of Trustees signed and approved said ordinance. Section 2: The Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the 1 Village Clerk are hereby auth orized and directed to enter into a contract for the : purchase of an oil burning furnace with a heating capacity of 2,200 square J feet, complete with automatic ; controls, combination water," feeder and law water cut off i and a 1,000 gallon fuel storage; tank together with all the neces- j sary electrical wiring, materials ,; ana laoor. Section 3: The cost of the new ' heating system shall be paid out of the general fund of the vil lage of Nehawka, Nebraska. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect after passage by a three-fourths vote of the Board of Trustees and upon the proc lamation of the Chairman of the Board, of Trustees and shall be posted in three of the most public places of said village. Section 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances passed and approved prior to the passage and approval of this ordinance, and in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
