Geo. T. Lloyd, Native Of Cass County Dies George T. Cass county Lloyd, native and exadiiritP of of riaiiMiiuuui nign school, died at Storm Lake, Iowa on Thurs day, August 27. He was 06 years old. Corn on a farm near Nehaw ka, he graduated here in 1905 and has since resided at Omaha Council Bluffs and at Storm Lake for the past 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Marie a daughter. Mrs. Janet Reden baugh. of Fort Collins, Colo a son, George A., of Scottsbluff three grandchildren; three sis ters, Mrs. Rose Bailey of Renton Wash.. Mrs. Nellie Lewis of Om aha. Johnnie Barkhurst and Ger ald Schrader left for a 2 week's vacation in Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Art Uhes, Donald and Marlene, of Papillion mov ed Saturday to the Paul Lutz farm on Rt. 2. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Spangler and family returned Monday to their home in Glendale, Calif. They have been guests here for ten days at the . home of his mother, Mrs. Nellie Spangler, and his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Spangler. Gene Spangler is employed with the Edison Co., in Southern California. ' ' Mr. and Mrs. John Bergman and children returned Friday from Bentonville. Ark. They were guests of Miss Elizabeth Bergman, sister of Mr. Bergman, and with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Web er and family. Mr. Weber is a brother of Mrs. Bergman. Da vis and Joseph Vanhorn hereby declared the body incorporate ! 17 "At least five of the above named incorporators shall meet at the town of Rock Bluffs in Cass county and proceed to or ganize said society, by electing a president, secretary, treasurer and board of managers and adopt a constitution and by laws," the legislative group ruled. To join the Society, a mem bership fee of from one to five dollars was assessable. The so ciety was incorporated on Jan uary 2fi. 1856. H. C. Wolph came to Nebras ka Territory May 27, 1854, and is the grandfather of Miss Eve lyn Wolph who has been noted over the county as a 4-H leader at Nehawka for over 30 years. Jiss Wolph is helping to carry out the wishes of her grandfa ther, who nearly one hundred years ago was chairman of the first Agriculture Society in the county. Miss Wolph provided the county ag society background during a recent address here be fore the Cass County Historical Society. She explained also that her grandfather had also helped establish Doane College at Crete and served as a representative in the territorial and state legis latures. Mrs. Woolcott To Honor Mother Mrs. Helen Woolcott will hon or her mother, Mrs. D. R. Gould, on her 92nd birthday anniver sary by holding open house at her home on South 8th street, Thursday evening, September 3, from 7:30 to 9:30. Mrs. Gould has visited here many times and is looking for ward to meeting her many friends again. Masonic Home Resident Three Months Is Dead Mrs. Julia Ettie Wilkinson, resident at the Nebraska Ma sonic Home here for three months, died at the home Fri day, August 28, at the age of 84. Mrs. Wilkinson, widow of the 'ate Dee Wilkinson, member of Fremont Lodge, No. 15, A. F. & . M., came to the home three months ago. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Guy Walton of Logan, Iowa, and Mrs. J. W. Andrews of Wymore; and a nephew, C. A. Bullis of Logan, Iowa. En route home to Lincoln from a vacation in the southwest, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hatcliff were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cane Thursday. Mrs. Hatcliff is a sister of Harry Cane. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Dasher and Shirley Jean are vacation ing with friends in Little Rock, Ark., and Kansas City, Mo. Warringtons Are Feted Friday At Farewell Party Rev. and Mrs. Fred Warring ton were honored Friday eve ning at a farewell party given by the congregation at Wesleyan Methodist church where Rev. Warrington has been pastor for the past two years. The party was held at the home of Mrs. Ida Cadwell prior to the Warringtons' departure for North Platte.
