Officers for the coming year will be Glen Wiles of Platts mouth, president; Ray Wiles of Glenwood, la., vice president; and Mrs. Melvin Schliefert of Albins Enjoying Vacation In Ohio And Illinois Mr. and Mrs. Harry Albin and daughter, JoNon. and Miss Patty Brown departed last Thursday for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Albin. who are living in Columbus, Ohio. Delbert, stationed with the Air Force in Columbus, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Al bin. In Illinois, the Albins are also visiting with other friends in the state. They expect to return to Plattsmouth sometime this week end. Mrs. Mary Wiles Louisville, secretary-treasurer. Three marriages were report ed during the, year. Reports were given by several project chairmen. The meeting was conducted by Mrs. Rose Day, president. At the meeting, members voted to sponsor an essay contest. "Build Through Citizenship." The con test will be open to all students in public, private or parochial high schools in Cass county. Mrs: Sophia Wolever was named chairman of the contest. Reports on their recent visit to the hospital at Offutt Air Force Base were given by Mrs. Margaret Fitch. Mrs. Rose Day and Mrs. Maxine Bowman. It was also announced that the district meeting will be held Sunday, August 23, at Papillion. Mrs. Maxine Bowman, district president, announced the plans. With the close of the meeting. Auxiliary members joined post members at a social period. Post members served refreshments and Auxiliary members conduct ed a games period. HOMECOMING CANCELLED The Rock Bluff Homecoming Association advises again that the annual Rock Bluff home coming picnic for 1953 has been cancelled. Lack of interest in the annual event was given as the reason for discontinuing the picnic and celebration. AUNT DIES Mrs. Anna Te Poel of Malmo, aunt of Ray Wiysel of Platts mouth, died recently and was buried Wednesday. Mrs. Te Poel was a sister of Mrs. Louise Griff en, mother of Mr. Wiysel. Graves in his semi-monthly report to the city council Mon day night. Judge Graves reported 14 ar rests and fines totaling $343 for the week ending August 1.
