Powers Are Held Wednesday Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Powers, resident here for more than 30 years, were held at St. John's church Wednesday morn ing with Father Raphael Chonta officiating. Burial was in Glen wood cemetery at - Glenwood, Iowa. Rosary was recited Tuesday night at eight o'clock at Cald-well-Linder Funeral home. Cas ket bearers were Earl Furry, John Whiting, John Hopp, Jo seph Pittman, Frank Heigl and William Pittman. Born at Omaha on August 23. 1337, the daughter of John and Anna Rich, Mrs. Powers came to Plattsmouth in 1921. She was employed at the Plattsmouth hotel. She was a member of St. John's Catholic church. She was married to Charles Pcwers at Omaha in 1947. Surviving are her husband, Charles; a son. Arnold Winkler, of Sterling, Colo., a sister, Mrs. Joseph Heigl, of Plattsmouth, and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. Anna Pittman, preceded her in death. Mrs. Powers died last Monday at a nursing home at Elmwood. She had been ill since January. Caldwell-Linder Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
