Tex as, to attend Bible Seminary. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bashess and Mr. and Mrs. Don Taylor and Vickie. Murray Mrs. Neva Reed had a belated birthday dinner in honor of Rob ert Smith on Sunday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Reed. Mr. and Mrs. Verle Smith. Henry Rice and the guest of honor, Robert Smith. The Murray 8th prade pupils have been notified that promo tional exercises will be held on Monday, May 25th, at 2:00 o'clock p. m. at the Weening Water school auditorium. Par ents, teachers and friends are cordially invited to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Younkers and sons were visiting in the Dude Hiatt home cn Friday eve ning. A new bulletin board h?.s been erected on the church lawn of the- Christian church at Mur ray. More redecorating is being done on the interior of the Chris tian church parsonage. Miss Rozella Reed spent two nights last week at the home of her friend. Miss Shirley Glaze in Plattsmouth. Murray Murray School Picnic Is Held The annual picnic was held at' Murray school house on Sat urday, May 16, to mark the end ing of the school year. Tables were loaded with food in the school auditorium and a great Top Top mm many guests thoroughly enjoyed the community picnic. Murray Mr. and Mrs. Gsorge Buffing ton and Jnoy were visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lechliter and family in Valley, Nebraska, on Sunday. Murray Several Guests At Club Meeting Several Murray ladies attend ed the guest dav meeting of th Golden Rod club at the Mvnard community hall on Thursdav. They were Mrs. Will Mirord, Mrs. C. D. Spangler, Mrs. Char les Spanker and Mrs. Fred Hild. The Plattsmouth hih school glee club furnished music for the meeting. Murrav Mr. and Mrs. Will Minford at tended the home show at the coliseum in Omaha on Thurs day evening. George Minford has received a new rating. He is now Naval Aviation Store Keeper 3rd Class. He expects to be home on leave by June 15th. Miss Mary Frans passed her state exams for beauty culture. On Monday she attended a meet ing in Lincoln where she had as a model for demonstration of hair styling Mrs. Neva Reed. Guests in the Dwayne Sack home on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Forest Beel and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sack. David Reed is confined at home with mumps. Murray Bible School To Start Monday Vacation Bible school begins at Murray on Monday, May 25th. It will be for ages 5 through 14 and held at the United Presby terian church from 9 to 11:30. Mrs. Lewis Sack and Mrs. Olin Morris are suoerintendents. Murray Bradleys Feted At Shower Friday A shower was held in the Christian church for Mr. and Mrs. John Bradley on Friday night. About 50 guests were present. The counle received many nice gifts. Thirteen ladies served as hostesses.
