Funeral Chapel Final rites were held at Cald-well-Linder Funeral Chapel on Friday afternoon for Mrs. Ger tha Hull, who died at her home here on Tuesday, March 24. Rev J. W. Taenzier of Omaha. former minister at Plattsmouth j officiated at the final rites at j which Mrs. Hugh Stander. Jr.. j was soloist and Mrs. Richard j Schade. accompanist. Flower bearers were Mrs. Acnes McKin ney. Mrs. Fern Cole and Mrs. Norine Bishop. Casket bearers were Bill Hull. Kenneth Hull, Frank Hull. Ar thur Hull, George Hull and Don Hull. Burial was in Rock Bluff cemetery. Mrs. Hull. 75. died at her home in Plattsmouth following a long illness. She had observed her 75th birthday anniversary on March 18. Born in Story County, Iowa, in 1873 she was the daughter of George P. and Flora Eastwood, imperial visited his brother, Al- isne was married on &ett.emDer 10, 1895 to Frank G. Hull. They celebrated their golden anniver sary in 1945. Mrs. Hull and familv had re sided in the Rock Bluff and Plattsmouth communities for 39 vears. Thev lived near Rock Bluff for 35 years, from 1914, until moving to Plattsmouth four years ago. She was a member of the Christian church. Surviving are her husband. Frank G. Hull of Plattsmouth: five sons. Harold and Eldon of Plattsmouth, Gilbert of Willow Springs, Mo., Ben of Chamber lain, South Dakota, and Fred of Bellevue; and three dauehters, Mrs. Georgia Wilson of Blairs town. Mo., Mrs. Kathryn Glaze of Plattsmouth and Mrs. Jean Jacks of Naches, Washington. Also surviving are a brother, C. Lou Eastwood of Grandview. Wash., a sister, Mrs. Mabel Knorr of Glendale. Calif.: 31 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Two sons pre ceded her in death. Caldwell-Linder Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Ofle Funeral services were held Friday aftfrnoon at Hobson Funeral Chanel in Weeping Wa fer for William H. Otte, long time residt.it of Cass county, who died at his home in Louis ville last Wednesday, March 25. Mr. Ctte. who has been in ill health fcr the past eight years, was v. ell known throughout Cass county. He had farmed near Louisville most of his lifetime. He was about 75 years old. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery. SAVES BABY FROM PYTHON Darwin, Australia A mother, asleep in her camp-house on a truck, felt her 3-months-old baby girl's feet moving away from her. Awakening, she felt a big snake on the bed. At her scream, her husband. Alex Scott raced to the truck and, by the beam of his flashlight, saw that most of the baby's face was in side the jaws of the python, which was moving off the truck. Scott hit the snake with a stick and lt freed the child. Later, it was found curled inside a 44 gallon drum. Other than huge fang marks on its face, the baby was unhurt. bert Kunz and other relatives on Thursday. They had been in attendance at the funeral of Mrs. Ferguson, sister of Mrs. Kunz. The ladies of the Christian church paoered their dining room on Thursday. The week before the men did their part in fixing the roof, the belfry, and making other needed repairs. Among the many callers at the Wm. Coatman home on Wednesday for their anniversary celebration were Mr. and Mrs. Milo Gollaher of Grand Island end Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lake and Mrs. James Lake of Lincoln. Mrs. Mel Miller acted as as sessor asisstant on two days this week while her husband was away. Em wood Teachers Sign New Contracts Teachers who have accepted positions for next year are Supt. Johnston, Mrs. Godbey, princi pal, and Wm. Mickelson, com mercial and coach, for the high school, and for the grades Miss Shirley Glebe and Mrs. Kuhn. Elmwood Elmwood people are pleased that the grade school basketball team won county championship. They were coached by a senior, Keith Drake. Senior play is announced to be given on April tenth. There will be three union Eas ter week meetings, and a can tata on Good Friday night. Elmwood District Meeting Held at Lincoln On Thursday Melvin Miller, representative of the Farmer's Mutual Insurance Company of Nebraska attended the Sixth District meeting at Lincoln and the noon luncheon at the Corn husker hotel. They heard dis cussions and talks about the new ; methods and policies, we ana Mrs. Miller enjoyed the ban quet there at 6:30. They report a sumptuous reed, and a fine oroeram. Elmwood Seventeen State Tour ComDleted Mrs. Clara Cowrer returned from a two month's tour on Thursday. She had been throueh 17 states. The rotable places visited were New Orleans which was decorated ready for Mardi &T3.S celebration, and Mexico City. She plans to remain here for a further visit with her sis ter, Mrs. Parsell. and other rela tives, before going to her Mon tana home fo the summer. Elmwood Ben Burks of Lincoln visited his sister, Mrs. Ruth Davis, on Thursday. Mrs. Dwyer of Weening Water was in Elmwood on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gerbeling and Sandra visited Sunday eve nine at the Douglas Gerbeling home. Rev. and Mrs. N. F. Horn visited their daughter and fam ily at Indianola from Monday until Friday this week. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Engles have a new son in their home born March 23 at Bryan hosDital. He has been named John Anthony. There are now three little boys in this home. Mrs. Helen Bratt and family have moved from Jefferson City. Mo., to live with her father, Fred Creamer near Greenwood.
