A. .John Royal is spending a two week leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Royal. He is stationed at San Diego, California. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Romans and family, Huskerville, were Satur day and overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Anderson. were guests the past week of J ner iatner. u. (J. Ciregersen at Hardy, Nebraska. Mr. Hansen went for them Saturday and they returned home Sunday. Miss Cassie Baugh was absent Mondav and Tuesday and Mrs. Paul Whipple substituted in the primary room. The Brownies gave the Girl Scouts a valentine party Thurs day after school at the Green Nest. Nphauka Hansens Return From South Trip Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hansen re turned Wednesday from a trip to the South. They spent some time- at New Orleans and took a boat ride on the Mississippi. They returned by way of Texas. Their daughter, Catherine stay ed with her grandmother, Mrs. F. A. Hansen and Bryce stayed with Mr. and Mrs. George Pol lard and Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Niday. Nehawka Pvt. Howard Hansen, Ft. Leanard Wood, Missouri, was home on a three day leave. He and Mrs. Hansen of Lincoln ac companied his father, John Hansen and daughter, Frances, to Omaha, where they visited Mrs. John Hansen at Clarkson hospital. Mrs. John Hansen will be hospitalized for some time taking treatments. Xehawka Father Is Hospitalized Mr. and Mrs. George Dickman made frequent trips to Lincoln General Hostjitai thp nnct woeir i to visit Mrs. Dckman's father, Walter Little of Weeping Water. His condition is slightly im proved. Friday morning Mrs Dickman visited Mrs. Edna Sil ver, who was recently hospital ized with pneumonia. Mrs. Sil ver is Grand Matriarch of the Grand L. E. A. . Nehawka Ben Noell, Murray, was a din ner guest Sunday cf Mr.- and Mrs. Orville Noell. In the after noon he visited Mrs. Robert Young at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Munkres in Weeping Water. Mrs. Young is 90 years old and recently broke her arm. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Saali, and Julian were dinner guests Sun day at the Fred Beatty home. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Schomaker of Lincoln were overnight guests Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Heesch. Sunday afternoon call ers at the Heesch home were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Heesch, Mrs. Ralph Heesch and Sandra of Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Don Davis spent Sunday and Monday at the Wm. Getchius home. Mrs. Arthur Johnson went to Nebraska City Friday to be with her aunt, Mrs. Alice Plybon, who was a surgery patient at St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kohl, Im perial, Nebraska, are house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jor genson. They attended the Soil Conservation meeting the past week in Omaha and came to the Jorge nson home on Friday. They will also visit relatives in Nebraska City and Avoca. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson and Connie visited Mr. and Mrs. Dick Curtis of Los Angeles at the home of Mrs. Curtis' par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Has tens of Otoe. Mr. and Mrs. Cur tis were enroute home from a business trip to Washington, D. c. Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Pol lard called at the Arnold French1 home near Avoca Sunday after noon. Mr. and Mrs. George Pollard, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Sturm were dinner guests Sunday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wunder lich. Mr. and Mrs. Oren Pollard spent the week end with their son, Arthur and family at Wayne, Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Ross and Dianne were dinner guests on Sunday at the Ed Morris home at Union. John Rishel and son Billy of Plattsmouth visited Mr. Rishel's sister, Mrs. Ellis Schlichtemeier at the home of Mrs. Lena Schlichtemeier Tuesday even ing. Dr. Ellis Schlichtemeier ar rived at Pearl Harbor. Hawaiian Islands. He accidentally met his cousin, Mrs. Chad Penhallow and had dinner with her.
