Thursday, February 12 1953 Miss Girardot To Receive Nurses' Cap On Sunday Anne Marie Girardot, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. c C Gir ardot of Piattsmouth will be among o9 students of Creihton Memorial St. Joseph's hisSita school of Nursing to be capped at the annual capping ceremony on Sunday, February 15 at two o clock in Our Lady of Victory auditorium. J r,Te Pfgram will include Father Chas. Broderson as truest speaker. SLster Mary Louif O F:- director off nursing, will cap the students. A tea for par ents will follow the program. The students will begin their hospital experience in the clin ical areas which will extend over a period of two and one naif years. Miss Girardot is a 1952 gradu ate of Piattsmouth high school. Lawsons Leave For Germany; To Reside There Three Years Mrs. Leamon Lawson and sons. Steven and Randall, de parted en route to Germany lat Sunday. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Siemoneit took her to Union station at Omaha from where she went by train to Chi cago and to New York. At Hamilton Air Force Base near New York, thev will learn whether they will travel by plane or ship. T Sgt. Lafson is stationed at Bitburg. a new air force base in Luxemburg. Prior to their departure, the Lawsor.s were honored at a sur prise farewell party and were showered with farewell gifts by some 40 neighbors. A social eve ning was enjoyed. Mrs. Lawson. Steven. 21 mon ths, and Randall. 81, months will reside in Germany for the next three years. 1 M Two Couples Feted In Observance Of 25th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. John Hild and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hild were pleasantly surprised on Sunday evening, February 8, by many friends and relatives in obser vance of the couples' silver wedding anniversaries. Dancing, visiting and cards were enjoyed at Eagles Hall where the honoring event was held. One hundred-fifty were present to fete the courjles. After the honorees had cut ' tneir anniversary cakes, re freshments were served. They received many beautiful and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. John Hild were married on February 5, 1928 at Piattsmouth, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hild were married on February 15, 1928. 1 Jolly Feeders 4-H Club Has Halter Demonstration Mynard Jolly Feeders Club met at the home of Tom and Herbert Kraeger Friday. At the meeting, memoers fill ed out their year books in .pre paration for the next monthly meeting, and viewed a aemon- ftratinn nn haltpr making Th? demonstration was conducted ' by Tom and Herbert Kraeger. Leader Leonard Harvey ex plained how to improve halters and also distributed new litera ture which he had received while attending a three-day meeting in Lincoln recently. The club has purchased Am erican and 4-H flags. A recreation period was fol lowed by refreshments served by Mis. Glen Kraeger.
