Ann Marilyn Tyson Miss Ann Marilyn Tyson of Murray has been named one of four copy editors of the Daily Nebraskan, student newspaper of the University of Nebraska. Daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R. W. During the afternoon, Mrs. Stoehr gave out achievement rtrtificates and also read letters from Ak-Sar-Ben and County Home Extension Agent Miss Pearl Phultz. Nadine Weiss Mary ' Nolting and Dorothy Stoehr received cash awards from Ak-Sar-Ben tor work done last year. Nimble Fingers 4-H club will plant the tree received from the group at the Heil school, which Barbara Ulrich at tends. Mary Nolting and June Wag ner received Foley awards for che club. Record books for 1951 were re turned with the club receiving two gold seals for work done last year. It is the first time the club has received the gold seals. At the close of the meeting, hostesses, Mrs. Schmidt and daughter served a delicious luncheon. The next meeting will be held at the home of Sandra Parriott on Sunday afternoon, February 15 at 1:30. Mrs. Ruffner Returns From Out-State Visit Mrs. E. G. Ruffner has return ed from a three week visit with relatives in out-state Nebraska. She spent several weeks with a brother-in law and sLster. Mr. and Mrs.: Lee Bruce at Gering. and also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lovell at Scottsbluff. En route back east from west ern Nebraska, she spent a week at Columbus, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gerhold. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gerhold and Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Gerhold. Mrs. August Siemoneit, news reporter. Pvt. Fay Smalley Home on Ten-Day Leave From Army Pvt. Fay J. Smalley, who has been stationed at Camp Roberts, Calif., while taking basic train ing, arrived by plane Friday for a ten-day furlough with his father, O. F. Smalley, and with brothers and sisters in Platts mouth. Pvt. Smalley entered the ser vice last September and has re cently completed his basic training. Upon expiration of his leave, he will report to Camp Stoneman, California, to pre pare for overseas service. Sgt. Geschke to See Son First Time On Home Arrival Sgt. Maynard F. Geschke of Weeping Water, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Geschke. is expect ed home soon from Korea. He left Korea on January 9. after serving in the war area since June, 1952. Upon his return home, he will see his son, born Novem ber 21. 1952, for the first time. His wife is the former Elaine Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Baker of weeping Water.
