W. Weik held high score. Mrs. Neil Pierce was appointed business chairman for the year. Joergers Return Back From Trip Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Joerger returned last Tuesday from a triD to Illinois, Indiana, Penn sylvania, Minnesota and The LielLs in Wisconsin. At Rock Island. 111., they visited their daughter. Mrs. Ernest Kenney and Mr. Kenney; in Pittsburgh, Perm., Mrs. Joerger was on the Bill Brant television show; and they visited relatives at Adrian, Mum. They were gone two and a half weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Don Wade and son, Lincoln, called at the Wil mer Harshman home Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Pachard Stahur ski and daughter, Omaha, were week end guests at the Jack Hines home. Mrs. Thelma Ma son, Kansas City, was a guest lor several days the past week a: the Hines home. Mrs. Ma ton and children were former Nehawka residents. Elizabeth is now a sophomore in high school and Tommy is in the eighth grade. Mary Lindsey was six Friday, Sept. 19. She treated the chil dren of the primary room that dy and on Saturday she en tertained 8 girls of her Sunday schc4. at a party at her home. Sunday noon she was the guest of honcr at a dinner at the Roy Engelkemeier home at Mur ray. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Neil Redden and son, Plattsmouth; Mrs. Jesse Nichols and Jimmy Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt Hicks, Mrs. Bertie Hicks, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hicks and Twila. Nthawka Mr. and Mrs. George West have purchased a house of Mrs. Mary Wessel in the southwest part of town. The M. Whitting ton family who live in the house, are moving to the Mason property in the southeast part of town. Mrs. Clair Finley, Tacoma, Wash., is visiting her sister, Mrs. Fred Beatty and Mr. Beatty this week. Nehawka Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pollard returned from their honeymoon Tuesday. They visited the Carls bad Caverns and at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Chieppa in Roswell, New Mexico, and also went to Jaurez, Old Mexi co. They returned through Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. They will move into an ppart ment In the house formerly owned by Fred C. Schomaker and recently purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wunderlich. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd May field and family called at the Bob Mayfield home at Louisville Sunday afternoon. Mi. and Mrs. Bob Mayfield's son, John, re turned Saturday from Clarkson hospital, where he was a surgery patient. Carl and Robert Orndorff and Ted Brannon spent Sunday aft ernoon with Cecil Murdoch. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ahrens and children, Weeping Water, called at the Guy Murdoch home Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Matt Midkiff and Claude O'Connor called at the Clifford O'Connor hozne Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Stone were supper guests at the Neil Pierce home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lemon and Mrs. Sarah Kropp visited Mrs. Wm. Nehawka School News The Juniors held a party and initiation for the Freshmen at the school Wednesday evenine. There were tricks, eames and refreshments. The faculty were also guests. Superintendent Hansen. Mr. Scheissler and Mr. Masters at tended the men teacher's con ference at Elmwood Thursday evening. I Mrs. Paul Whipple has been nirea dv tne school board to teach the seventh and eighth grades from 2:30 until 4 o'clock each afternoon while Coach Scheissler has charge of the athletic teams. John Lee, re turned from Immanuel hospital in Omaha Tuesday. Mrs. James Budin, Clarkson. is assisting at the Schlichtemeier home. Mrs. Everett Jose and children and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Orndorff and sons called to see the new baby. Mr. and Mrs. George Sheldon were guests for the day Sunday of their daughter, Mrs. Glenn Thacker and Mr. Thacker in Lincoln. Beverly Bonner of Franklin was also a guest at the Thacker home. Carol Stone went to Omaha by bus Friday afternoon to visit Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Nelson and daughter, Susan, over the week end. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Stone drove to Omaha Sunday afternoon and she re turned with them. Mrs. Wildon Switzer enter tained the Bluebird Club at her home Thursday afternoon. Present were 26 members and children and one visitor, Mrs. Henry Thiele of Plattsmouth. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Switzer and her co-hostess, Mrs. Clarence Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kime and Marlin were business vis itors in Lincoln Tuesday. Mrs. Lester Waldo underwent surgery at Clarkson hospital Wednesday.
