Y. O- band) Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ross at tended a meeting of milk pro ducers at Papillion Thursday evening. The meeting was in charge of the Nebra.ska-Iowa non-stock co-operative Milk As sociation. BIRTH Burn to Mr. and Mrs. Byron Warlick of Holdrege a son, Michael Allen, on August 27 at the Brewster hospital. He weighed 7 lbs., 15 ounces and hLs grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. I. A. Warlick of Nehawka and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dickie of Stratton, Nebr. NVhaivka. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Whipple and daughter, Rebecca, Little Rock, Ark., were Sunday evening dinner and overnight guests ol Mr. and Mrs. Paul Whipple. Donald Warlick, who was home on a 30 day leave, left Monday evening for Moflett Field, Calif. NefiauKa Picnic Marks 1st Club Meeting The Junior Women's Club first meeting was a picnic at the home of the new president, Mrs. Robert Wunderlich Thursday evening. The new officers in cluding Mrs. Wunderlich. Mrs. Raymond Mayfield, Mrs. Victor Ross and Mrs. Deane Nutzman, were hostesses. Mrs. Wunderlich and Lela Ed monds are the delegates to the district convention at Tecum seh October 1 and 2. The club sextet has been invited to sing at the convention. Club mem bers voted to take care of the chickens for the bazaar of the Children's Memorial hospital in Omaha in October. The next meeting will be at. the home of Mrs. Ivan Hansen. Lowell Banks was home from Veterans' hospital of Lincoln for the week end. Mrs. Emma Nutzman, Mrs. Carl Balfour, Mrs. John Chand ler. Mrs. Harvey Bailer and Mrs. Albert Anderson attended the Methodist Seminar at Louisville all day Wednesday. Janet Nutzman, Lincoln, and Mildred Nutzman attended the wedding of Miss Loraine Zahn at Syracuse Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ross at tended the dinner given by the Past Matron's club at the Ma sonic hall at Nebraska City Fri day evening. Mrs. Kate Crow, Nebraska City, was a week end guest of her daughter, Mrs. Kelly Thome and family. Evelyn Thome is a high school student at Ne braska City. Guests the past week at the Glen Rutledge home were Mr. and Mrs. Lon LaVon and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They are cousins of Mr. Rutledge. Senn Waddell's former Sun day school class of the Grace Methodist church of Lincoln en joyed a picnic and hay uuu at the Waddell farm northeast of Nehawka Sunday noon. Forty five were present. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Pollard en tertained their canasta club at dinner and cards Wednesday evening. Entertain At Dinner Sunday Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Mr. and Mrs. George Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Tucker Mr and Mrs. Frank Lemon, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Pollard of Nehawka, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Giles of Plattsmouth and Mr. and Mrs. Glen ThAcker of Lincoln were entertained at dinner Sundav at Lincoln by Mr. and Mrs. John Steffens. The afternoon was spent at the Steffens home in Lincoln. NVtinwka Gary Andersen, son of Dr. and Mrs. R. R. Andersen, a polio patient at Children's hos pital in Omaha, show's some im provement. Mr. and Mrs. Thurmond Nix on and JoEUen, Judy Dodson and Janet Cook were guests for the day Sunday of Mrs. Nixon's sister and family. Mrs. John Lihtcap at Aurora. Miss Isabel Willsie has ac cepted a position in Astoria. Oregon, where she formerly taught school. She spent the past year with her sister, Mrs. J. J. Pollard and Mr. Pollard of Nehawka. The Girl Scouts have resumed their meetings after a vacation during August. They plan a hike for their meeting Thurs day afternoon after school. Rev. and Mrs. S. Kadahl. Oaks. Okla., arrived at the Allan Han sen home Monday for a visit. Mrs. Wm. Kruger and Eric were guests for the day Wednes day of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolph. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wieck horst and Judy were guests lor the day Sunday of her parents, Drs.
