August 12. at the home of Mrs. Jesse Jorsensen with Mrs. Henry Hobscheidt as assistant hostess. There were 13 members and 8 children present. At the business meeting plans were made to send packages to servicemen in the community. Each member will bring a pack- ape to next meeting to be nut in each of the 3 packages sent to the servicemen. While stand ing in the doorway of a tin- roofed barn, W. S. Black, 83-year-old farmer, was struck by a bolt of lightning, which knocked him unconscious and paralyzed his right side. A son revived him with artificial res piration and he was taken to a hospital for treatment of sec ond and third degree burns. Utah's output of bituminous coal is about seven million tons per year.
