Miss Jessie Rodhen of Una dllla. a former teacher of the Murdock schools, spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Brummer. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Buck went to York. Nebraska, on Friday evening to attend the wedding of their son, John. Nine Entries In Chicken Test Nine entries of 50 chicks each have been placed on feed for the Nebraska Chicken of Tomorrow contest. Extension Poultryman J H Claybaugh of the University of Nebraska, who is chairman of the Nebraska event, said eight strain crosses and breed crosses are being compared with a pop ular New Hampshire strain in the contest. The chicks are to be weighed and the records closed when the chicks are 10 weeks of age. At that time chicks from each entry are to be selected for ex hibit at he Nebraska state fair The birds will be 13 weeks old when the fair opens.
