Rebal and sons, Ronald and Allan, of Iowa City, Iowa, were here at the week end to visit with Mr. and Mrs. James Rebal, parents of Mr. Rebal. They also visited at the Frank A. Rebal home. While here Mr. Rebal had the pleasure of attending the reun ion of the class of 1927 of the Plattsmouth high school of which he was a member. He has been located at Iowa City for a number of years, operating a large super market. Mother Observes 95th Birthday Joseph Humerickhouse and son. Mr. and Mrs. Open house will be held at the Roy Taylor home cn Living ston road from 7 to 9 o'clock Sunday, June 15, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor, who will observe their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have spent their entire 50 years of wedded life in Plattsmouth, coming here from Quincy, 111., the same day they were married. They were united June 15, 1902, at Quincy. Cleverly Arranged Party Honor Couple s Anniversary A cleverly arranged surprise party held Friday evening at Mynard Community Club cele brated the silver anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Long. The honored guests and daughter, Janice, were invited to the Carl Kraeger home for supper, with tentative plans to attend a show in Omaha later. But they wound up at the Myn ard hall where friends, neigh bors and relatives were assemb led. The club was beautifully dec orated with flowers, a large three-tier anniversary cake, and a beautiful bouquet of red roses, j gift of the honorees' daughter, Janice. The roses centered the j gift table. A short program was conduct ed by Dorothy Meisinger. It in- i eluded a cornet solo by Ella Mary Nielsen, accompanied by Lorna Nierste; two songs by Mrs. Frances Kraeger and Lil lian Nielsen, accompanied by Marilyn Lutz. Games followed the program. The honorees received many lovely gifts, including a collec- lion for purchasing silverware. The anniversary cake was served with ice cream, sandwiches, cof fee and ice tea. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Newton and daughters; Mrs. W. Va., where they had been for the past two weeks. Grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Knorr of Plattsmouth and Mr. and Mrs. Tucker of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Mrs. Tucker is the former Jean Knorr. They reside at Fairview Orchards, Rt. 1. Amherst. Val Johnson of Murray officiated at the wedding cere mony that united Miss Helen Louise Hike, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hike, of Nehawka and Gordon Gale Hanika, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hanika of Plattsmouth. The ceremony was performed Saturday, June 7. 1952. Mrs. Kathleen Ward of Lincoln was matron of honor. Gene Ward of Lincoln was best man. Mrs. Edward Stava and daughters, Shirley and Judy, ol Douglas , were in Plattsmouth Sunday to enjoy the class re union of the 1927 graduating class of Plattsmouth high school. Roberts presented an afternoon piano recital at Mrs. Robert's home on Main street this afternoon. A similar program is planned by other pupils this evening. Mathis of Greenwood was solemnized June 1, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran church. Seven branched can delabrum and pedestal baskets of white gladiolas and snap dragons against a background of fernery decorated the- altar for three o'clock ceremony. Rev. Walter Wendland per formed the double ring - cere mony in the presence of 250 relatives and friends. Mrs. Lee Jochim. cousin of the bride played the wedding music and accompanied Mr. Frank Mills who sang, "Because" and "Oh Perfect Love" preceding the Ceremony and the Lord's Pray er and Bless This House during the ceremony. Miss Ruth Kelly of Lincoln and Miss Donna Lee j Heier of Greenwood dressed in pastel formals lighted the tap ers. Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a gown of . white bridal satin and del'cate rosepoint lace, styled with ' a lace collar edged with satin. The snugly fitted bodice but toned to a small rounded lace collar and long ace sleeves tap ered to points at the wrist, join ed to an Elizabethan point in soft gathers her bouffant satin skirt swept into a wide aisle train. Her finger tip veil of ny lon tulle was caught in a nylon ha1'" with orange blossoms at either side. She carried a cas cade arrangement of white ros es centered with a lavender or chid corsage. She wore a pair of sterling silver earrings, a gift of the brideeroom. Miss Janice Rau of Ashland, as maid of honor was attired in a floor length gown of blue net over taffeta with a match ing net cape. She carried a yellow colonial bouquet. Miss Lorraine Pinkowski of Naperville, Illinois and . Miss Margaret Thiel of Murdock were bridesmaids. They wore gowns 3f yellow net over.taffeta with matching lace and net capes. They carried tinted blue col onial bouquets. The flower girl. Karol Ann Taylor of Ralston. Nebraska wore a dress of white net over yellow satin and carried a inin lture colonial bouquet. Garth Kennedy of Lincoln, nephew of the bridegroom was ringbearer. Dale Mathis of Lincoln at tended his brother as best man and the ushers were Jack Kuhn jf South Bend and Frank Mc levnolds of Lincoln. Larson, Jr., was held at 9:00 p. m., on Monday, June 2, 1952, at the First Presbyterian church in Lincoln? Nebr. Dr. C. Vin White officiated. Parents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard C. Larson, Sr. After a honeymoon in the Black Hills the couple will re side in Omaha where Ray is em ployed by the Omaha Public Power District. Merry Maidens Meet Recently Cullom Merry Maidens met at the home of Merna Jean Peter eit for the last meeting. Quizzes on foods were given by the lead ers. Merna Jean gave a demon stration on "How to Poach an Eff." After the meeting, mem bers judged their make-uo capes. Delicious refreshments were served by Mrs. Petereit and Mer na.
