HARPER Motes' Charge to the People Lesson for December 9: Deuteron omy: 15-31:3; 33: 28-29a Memory Selection: Deuteronomy 33: 27 rpKE LESSON TEXT is found among the farewell addresses j of Moses. The grand old man, hav- iyer aA Kin .a T .. 4 ." bondage and after forty years brought them to a distant view of the Land of Promise, when he felt and knew his work was done, gathered the tribes, as it were, to his footstool and gave them the benefit of the experience that had been hi3 through an hundred and twenty years. He set before the people a bless ing and a curse a blessing that would be theirs if they should fol low Jehovah's leading, and a curse if they should depart from Jeho vah to serve other god3. But he closed with the stirring assurance of the Lord's blessings i upon them if they would do his will. The eternal God would be their dwelling place and under neath would be the everlasting arms. Many believe that the last thing Moses ever wrote was the 90th Psalm which becins with i ot tv. rhurKi. ! words that have the sound of j "To Christ stately music "Lord, Thou hast been our dwelling place in all gen erations." These words remind us of the as surance of Moses to his people when he delivered his farewell ad dresses. These messages evidently came out of his own experience. When Mozart was dying, his fel low musicians played! for him his favorite, music. Moses was ready God rewards every effort done to please Him, so if you missed last week be sure to come this week.
