Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Snod grass, Robert and Roger, attend ed the auto races in Omaha Sun day afternoon. Mrs. Charles Spangler spent J. Murray Korean Veteran Visits At Murray Mr. and Mrs. Lavonne Bickett from San Diego, California, were spending three weeks visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bickett. Lavonhe is Yoeman 3rd Class in the navy and has been in Korea for the past nine months. He was returned to the States on the rotation plan, is now back in San Diego awaiting further orders. Murray Betty Jo Worthan is in Om aha this week visiting her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lushinsky. Nancy Lancaster is spending several days this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wor than. The theme "Hands Across the Sea" was ! carried out in various ways by each of the four departmnets in song. Bibical quotations, poetry and dramatization. In their construction work also it was well illustrated. Much credit is due Mrs. Paul Fauquet for a mural "Hands j Across the Ocean", made by the Juniors under her direction. J There were 29 other teachers and assistants who contributed their time and talent. In the Beginners Department at the Methodist church Mrs. Vic 1 Schreiner. Mrs. Ed Mische. Anita tensen directed the activities. Mrs. Vireil Perry directed the Beginners at the Presbyterian church with the aid of Dorothy Cappell, Mrs. William Highfield and Nancy Perry. The Primary department was in charge of Mrs. Richard Biery at the Pres byterian church, assisted by her mother, Mrs. Russel Shay, Mrs. Chris Bulin, Mrs. Ralph Wehrbein. Mrs. John Stoll, Karen Jacobs, Cecilia Forbes. Nancy Painter, Phyllis Tritsch, Fatty Brown and Marlen Wetenkamp. The Junior and Junior High departments were held at the Methodist church under leader ship of Mrs. H. G. McClusky, Mrs. H. V. Mitchell. Mrs. Theo. Yelick. Miss Pearl Staats. Mrs. J. Howard Davis, Mrs T. I. Friest. Mrs. Edgar Glaze, Dar lene Spaneler. Shirley Glaze and Patty Painter. Enrollment totaled 157 pupils, most of whom had perfect at tendance. Their contributions to missions amounted to $53.92. The expense of the school was almost covered by the offering contributed Sunday evening by the parents and friends. Sr., was in Omaha to attend the graduation exercises of his son. Warren Jr., and wife, June 1st, who had completed three years study of missionary work, from the Oniaha Bible Institute. Alvo; Rex Young, Everett Thomason, Plattsmoutn; After the dinner the afternoon was spent visiting at the home of Mrs. Addie Park. ed at Fort Meade, Maryland, was enjoying a week end visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Sack, another son, Clayton, and his wife are spending this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sack. Mrs. Wallace Nelson and dau ghter Lynda from San Francis co, California are visiting at the home of Mrs. Selma Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mead spent Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wolfe, living near Union. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Scotten spent Sunday at Weeping Water I at the home of their daughter, 'Mrs. Lois Noell. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Griffin from Decatur, Nebraska, were visiting at the home of Mrs. Gertie Dill Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Nelson, son Benny, Mrs. Anette Benson. , daughter Elizabeth and Miss La ivonne Botts, all from Lincoln, spent Sunday at the home of ,Mrs. Selma Nelson. ! Mrs. Margaret Todd is enjoy ing a two weeks vacation at : home. She is employed as book i keeper for the Sterbal Livestock Commission company in Omaha. Murray Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Slye, Un bolt was an evening visitor. Mr. and Mrs. George Hob scheidt and family of Lavern, la. were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hobscheidt and family. Murray Entertain At Wiener Roast Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lan caster were hosts at a wiener roast Sunday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. George Hob sheidt, Lavern, Iowa; Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Gomer Wor than, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wor than, Richard ' and Allan, Mr. and Mrs. BUI Worthan and Kristian, Mrs'. Later in the evening Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Snodgrass and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sack visited the Lancaster home. liurray Family Dinner Honors Three At Murray Recently A family dinner was held at the parlors of the Christian church in Murray in honor of Mrs. Nettie Young, Plainview. Ky.. who have been visiting the Ger hard families left last Friday on a sight seeing trip west and will visit the Alden Colbert family in Montana before re turning.
