Mr. and Mrs. Rex Peters of Swanton, Nebraska and Mr. and Mrs. Lou Neuman of California a were Wednesday supper guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peters. On Thursday, Mrs. Grant Pet ers took Mr. and Mrs. Lou NeU man of Wahoo to visit Mr. and Mrs. Leo Peters. Mrs. Neuman is a sister of Mr. Peters. Mr. Paul Stock, who has been in the hospital for two weeks came home by ambulance on Friday. H? will be confined to his bed for sometime. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Elseman are the proud owners of a new Ford. Mr. John Buck, who is employ ed at York. Nebraska, spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Buck. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Elseman left Friday morning for Storm Lake. Iowa, where they will m spend the weekend with Mrs. Eiseman's father and other re latives. Mur.Hi.k I Ladies Aid Meets Thursday Afternoon Ladies' Aid met at the home of Mrs. Elsa Hornbeck on Thurs day afternoon with a very good attendance. Assisting hostesses were Mrs. Otto Miller, Mrs. A. J. Tool, Mrs. Alvin Bcrnemeier and Mrs. Carl Reickert. MtuMui-k Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Rase and family attended a family picnic at Nebraska City on Sunday. Karen Kruse, who underwent a very serious operation on May 12th is responding most favor ably at this time. Miss Joanne Lau Weds H. F. Heider On Sunday evening at eight D'clock Miss Jeanne Lan. dau ghter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lau. became the bride of Mr. Herbert F. Heider of Grand Is land, at the Trinity Lutheran church in the Dreser.ce of many relatives and friends. They make their home in Grand Is land. Mi: '.'.lock Frank and David Mills, sons of Mr. and Mrs. James Mills left Tuesday morning for Colorado where they will visit relatives for a week. Miss Ruth Guehlstorff started working at the Corn Growers - State, Bank on Monday" of this week. The Friendly Neighborly Club had their annual picnic at the Elmwood park on Tuesday even ing and later enjoyed the show at the Elmwood theatre. Mrs. Grant Peters and Mrs. Minnie Lau went to Fremont on business end also to visit Mrs. Peters' sister. Mr. John Buck of York spent the week end with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Buck. Mr. and Mrs. Burke Robertson spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Robertson's parents near Ashland. Mrs. Johnson, who has been spending several weeks with her daughter. Mrs. Paul Huashar and family of Elmwood returned home on Sunday. Mr. F. C. Schomaker and pranddaughter, Beverly Lea Barkhurst of Nehawka spent Tuesday with his sister. Mr, and Mrs. H. J.
