Schreiner Family Is In Alliance Mr. and Mrs. Vic Schreiner and family have been spending this week at Alliance with his mother, Mrs. Margaret Schrein er. They departed Sunday and are expected to return next Sun day. They were in Alliance for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Puis At Seward Sunday Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Puis, ac companied by Mr. and Mrs. Har ry Puis and daughter, Shirley of Omaha, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gray at Seward Sunday. Mr. Gray is manager of the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph office at Seward. Mrs. Gray is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Puis. Glaze Family Is Held Here Sunday The annual reunion of the C. F Glaze family was held Sun day in the city park with 44 attending. Mr. Glaze is 86. and his sister. Mrs. M. A. Hays of Council Bluffs, was celebrating her 84th birthday. They are the only living members of the original family. Also honored were Mrs. Clara Lee of Olympia. Washington, and Mrs. Mable Bishop of Los Angeles. Calif. Dinner was enjoyed and the time was spent in visiting and taking oictures. Those attending were Mrs. Lee. Mrs. Bishop. Newlyweds Will Live In Omaha Avoca Special Miss Jorgensen, daughter of Henry Jorgensen and Dan Stratton. son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Strat ton of Weeping Water, were mairied Tuesday. May 22 at 5:15 p.m. at the court house in Plattsmouth. The bride wore a white afternoon dress. She was graduated with the class of 1951 and has been living in Omaha at the home of her grandpar ents. Mr. and Mrs. Diller. She is employed in Omaha. The groom attended Weeping Water high school and is' Iso employed in Omaha, where they will make their home. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. William Kepler. Jr.. Following the ceremony they visited his parents at Weeping Water and also Henry Jorgen sen at Avoca. Mrs. Stratton was also relief operator for the Avoca Tele Dhone comnany. son of Mr. and Mrs. Greeley L. Beil, Plattsmouth, Nebr. Private Beil is stationed at Fort Bliss. Texas. Miss Luhring is attend ing business college in Omaha. No date has been set for the wedding. Harold Gaines Family To Visit In South Carolina Peggy i Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gaines, Margaret and Frank departed Tuesday night for Charleston, South Carolina, to visit Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Baquet and daugh ter Martha. From Charleston they will go to Jacksonville, Fla., where they will be guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Sutton and fam ily. Returning by way of the gulf, the Gaines will stop at Biloxi. Miss., where Frank will see l;gene Smith, a former classmate. They will go through New Orleans to Houston. Texas, and visit Mr. and Mrs. James Marsh: Mrs. Marsh was formerly Gladys Rhodes of Plattsmouth. Also if time permits, a trip to Corpus Christi. Texas, to visit Mr. Gaines' aunt is planned. 8 & 40 Nominating Committee Named For June Election Cass County Salon- 441" of the 8 & 40 held their regular meet ing in the lounge of the 40 & 8 club rooms. Chapeau Mrs. Ag nes Walling presided over the business meeting. Publicity chairman Mrs. Vera Warga had the scrap book at the meeting for inspection by the members. This is to be taken to the convention to com pete with scrap books from the 8 & 40 Salons throughout Ne braska. A call to convention was read. It is to be held at the Fon tenelle hotel in Omaha, Nebr., August 15th. Business meeting at nine, election of officers in the afternoon and banquet at 6:30. Delegates me to be se lected at the June meeting. A bulletin was read by the secretary from the Jewish T. B. hospital in Denver. This de scribed the care and education of the children at the hospital Election of officers will take place at the June meeting. The following were selected for the nominating committee: Mrs. Helen Vroman, Mrs. Elsie Mc Clintock and Mrs. Minnie Schrieber. The unit moved to have print ed ballots for the election. All members wez-e urged to attend Memorial services. Me morial day at the cemetery. At the close of the evening entertainment was furnished by Mrs. Sophia Wolever and" Mrs. Vera Warga. All members are urged to attend. 2t Davis Family At John Vallery Home County Attorney and Mrs Burr Davis of Wayne, accompa nied by their children, Jimmie and Sandra, arrived Tuesday for a visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Vallery, parents of Mrs. Davis. The children will spend a part of the summer here, Jim being engaged at the Vallery farm. Kan. Surprise Party Is Held For Dale Bruns honored their son. Dale, at a surprise party on his 16th birth day Sunday evening at their home near Nehawka. Several friends and relatives were present. Musical selections by Ruth and Albert Bryns and visiting com prised tfve evening's entertain ment. Refreshments were served. Home Again After Oklahoma Visit Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Cliiford and Mrs. James Janca, mother of Mrs. Clifford, returned Tues day from a visit with the Frank Lukasek family at Kingfisher, OKla. Grant Olson of Omaha accompanied them. Mrs. Luka sek is a daughter of Mrs. Janca, sister of Mrs. Clifford and sister-in-law of Mr. Olson. The group made the trip by car.
