Mrs. Ralph Keckler was a Lincoln motorist last Saturday attending to matters of busin ess while there. Mrs. A. E. Barber cf Haw thorne, Calif., is improving fol lowing a heart ailment illness She is able to be un and around but doesn't attempt to do much in the way of housework as yet. Coming from Ft. Mrs. Luhring suffered no broken bones but was in a dazed con dition and received several bruises when huge sacks of pop corn were thrown over the back seat and struck her. Wrf ping Water Mr. and Mrs. Carl Day ar rived here this Monday from Bradenton, Fla., where they have spent the winter. Their youngest son. John, drove the car here for them. Wal lick accompanied by Jerry Stone drove to the Omaha Union Sta tion Thursday evening where they met Charles T. Wallick on i a month's leave from the navy. ' Wallick's shiD left acain this week for foreign areas. At the end of his leave he will return to his same ship, the USS Breck inridge. He says that going over on his last trip they sounded a submarine, a call was made for it to identify itself but there was no reply. Naval and air security was radioed immediately of the location and unidentified vessel Aboard the ship going over wen? two Cass count ians. Jack Hall strom, son cf Mr. and Mrs. El mer Hallstrom of Avoca and a boy from Elm wood. Weeping Water Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Cherry re ceived word here from their son. Leon, who is stationed in Flori da of the arrival of Valerie Kay, April 27, at San Diego, where Mrs. Cherry has been staying for some time. She plans to join her husband later in Jackson ille. Lt. and Mrs. Linville Prall vis ited here last week end with both of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Prall and Mr. and Mrs. John Hutchinson. Lt. Prall. commandant of the communica tions school, returned Sunday to Camp Chaffee while Mrs. Prall will stay here for a longer visit. Saturday, May 19th the an nual Alumni banquet is to be held at the Cass county audi torium. The theme, "Hitch Your Wagon to a Star," will hail the newest alumni members class of '51. Porter, left early for Omaha aboard the Eager bus of Louisville where they were to make the planned tour of several educational institutions, which included Boy's Town, Jos lyn Memorial. Omar Bakery, Swift and Company, Forest Lawn Crematory, the World Herald offices. Municipal Air port and Omaha police depart ment. While at the Brandeis store they visited the executive offices and in the advertising department, the candy kitchen and then at noon thev were luncheon guests of the Brandeis store. A theater party was next in line with dinner following roller skating was planned also. Weeping Water Mrs. Murray Mutter was a vis itor at the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Day last Thursday. Mrs. Mutter and Mrs. Day put the finishing touches on the reupholstering job they had started at the clinic which was held here recently under the supervision of Miss Pearl Schultz. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Raines were Monday evening visitors at the home of their son and his wife, Dr. and Mrs. Max Raines of Omaha. Miss Ellen Monfross, Miss Noelline Fieke, Miss Kathryn Daugherty and Miss Mary Lou Carsen ail spent the week end in Lincoln with their respective parents. Weeping: Watei BREAKS ARM Jimmie Moore, young son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Moore, had the misfortune to fall from the slippery slide last week on Fri day afternoon. He suffered broken bones in the left fore arm. At the Bryan Memorial nospitai, the young lad had the broken bones set and was given a cast to" wear for some time. Weeping Water Mrs. Andrew Olson rptnrripri here Tuesday from Oeden. Iowa where she had been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wiles and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wiles and family. Mrs. Fred Klepser drove to Omaha to meet her mother on Monday but the rainy weath er prevented them from return ing home that day. Mrs. Sara Spohn was hostess to the Garden club last Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Fleming of Lincoln recently spent the week end here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Lyal Fleming. Mrs. Linville Prall received word here from her husband that she was to return to Camp Chafiee, Ark., sooner than they had planned. Mrs. Prall had expected to remain here for a longer stay but a position for which she had applied became open and ready for her to start working as of this week. Weepincr Water Rainbow Assembly Elects Officers Tuesday evening at the IOOF hall with the election of officers a part of the business meeting. Nancy Brown was elected as Worthy advisor; Worthy associ ate advisor, Virginia Rhilpot; Charity, Carol Jean Ambler: Hope, Charlotte Stacey; Faith, j Alice wues; Treasurer, Valerie Uflelman, and Recorder, Susan Hooson. On May 22 a public in stallation of officers will be held. This follows a May 20th meeting of Rainbow Girls from the state at Fremont where all will par ticipate in a picnic gathering at the Eastern Star Children's Home there. Weeping Water Commencement To Be Held May 18 School officially closes Friday, May 18th. That evening the commencement exercises will be held at the high school audi torium with Don W.
