Members Show Interest In Conservation Trip General interest in the pro posed field trip to the Syracuse vicinity to inspect soil conser vation practices in that area as they apply to flood control is high among Chamber of Com merce members. That was the opinion of Paul Fauquet, chairman of the Chamber's flood control com mittee, which proposed the March 13th educational journey. Fauquet said that a number of the Chamber members have expressed interest in the trip and that the committee can go ahead with plans. He warns other Chamber members inter ested in the field trip to contact him or Dr. L. A. Amato as soon as possible to reserve transpor tation. At the same time, Fauquet disclosed that the trip is not closed to farmers. He said if farmers in the area are inter ested in the trip, they are wel come to accompany the Cham ber members. Present plans call for depar ture from Plattsmouth at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. After in spection of the soil conservation developments , the travelers will dine at Syracuse and then return to Plattsmouth early that evening. But for the time being, Cham ber members are warned that reservations for the trip are being made daily and that the bus capacity may be reached before late-comers declare their intentions.
