Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ptak attended the bride and groom. Mr. Ptak is a brother of the bride. Mrs. Clark is employed with the Lincoln Telephone Company and Mr. Clark has retired from the Winston Publishing Com pany of Philadelphia. For the present they will make their home at 710 Avenue B. Mrs. Wilma Puis was prize winner of the game which was played. Everyone wrote their favorite recipe for Barbara. Tritsch Is Honored At Shower Thursday Mrs. Richard Tritsch was hon ored at a miscellaneous shower at the Christ Lutheran Church parlors on Thursday afternoon. Dec. 23. 1950. The shower was given lor her by her aunts. Miss Laura Engelkemier, Mrs Walter Engelkemier, Mrs. Philip Heil and Mrs. Otto Lutz. A musical program was given which consisted of a piano-accordion solo by Billy Becker, vo cal solos by Albert and Johnny Wetenkamp. accompanied by their sister, Edith, a piano ?jnio by Tom Carneal. a vocal solo, by Martha Francis Carneal and a vocal duet by Mrs. Harry Nielsen and Mrs. Carl Kraeger. Following the program the bride opened the many beauti ful and useful gifts she had re ceived. Refreshments were then served. Previous to her marriage she was honored by Miss Martens and the teachers of the Central building with a very lovely can dlelight dinner at the Central building auditorium, Dec. 14, 1950 at 6:30 p. m. The tables were beautifully decorated in the Christmas mo tif. A highlight of the table decorations were two Christmas caroler paper dolls which had been made by Mrs. Ofe and Miss Miller. Following the dinner two love ly gifts of silver were presented to the guest of honor by Miss Martens, the teachers of the Central building and Supt. and Mrs. Friest. Canasta was then played. Bates drove to Lincoln Monday where they visited with Frank H. Smith at Veterans Hospital. They found Mr. Smith resting comfortably and doing as well as could be expected. They also enjoyed a visit at the home of Mrs. Elmer Webb in Lincoln, although missed see ing Mrs. Webb who with her son, Jim and family had gone to Omaha for the day. They how ever visited with Bob Webb and family and with Don Webb who is at home. I he Jim Webb family are returning this week to their Denver home following a holiday visit in Lincoln. Don will soon enter the navy. Altar Society Meets Wednesday St. John's Altar Society met Wednesday afternoon at St. John's hall for their first meet ing of the year. The new officers for 1951 are Mrs. Ed Berlett. president; Mrs. John Bauer, vice president; Mrs. Anna Pittman, secretary, and Mrs. John Bergman, treasurer.
