Carriers James Holy , Carl Hula and Willard Brink have been forced to make their city routes from stock piles of mail at strategic corners in order to deliver the heavy influx of let ters, cards and packages. Cus todians Howard Dodds and John S i k o r a have done yeoman duty, too. in keeping lobbies clear of Christmas wrap pings, lost articles, and other duties besides giving a hand with mail baes. Rural carriers Theodore Ptak and Glen Sawin have had their problems, too, with cars and jeeps piled high both going and coming from the rural areas. Frank Bierl has been giving them an extra hand on their deliveries. Other extra help during the Christmas rush include Leslie Niel, Jr., Kenneth Tiekotter and Lars Larson have been assisting on the floor, while Mrs. Beverly Hirz has been lending a hand in the office. - Louie Keil, who . transports j mail to and from trains could' use a semi-traiier to move tne mountains of bags that accu-- mulate at the delivery door every few hours, but by making extra trips at least keeps the aisles clear. Expectations are that this year's' business at the post of fice will equal or surpass any past similar period for Plattsmouth.
